As I had no idea what a Kirin was, I looked it up. "A myrhical hooved Chimerical creature". Which this is. And, if you look at the various artistic representations, they range from ox-like to deer-like to dragon-like to giraffe-like, etc., etc., etc. It's entirely open to artistic interpretation being Mythical.
All the new minions look great!Especially the Quercus!

As if the artist didn't make effort on any of the minions? She (the artist) did an excellent job on all of them.
Mythical creatures are simply that. Mythical. And therefore all representations of those creatures are based on the personal interpretations of the artist. Just because you don't happen to like her interpretation of a Kirin, doesn't mean that it is therefore "wrong" or "ugly."
If you don't like something, that's fine, but your words "looks like a poorly drawn donkey" are harsh words, and not constructive criticism at all.
I apologize for homing in on your comment like this, but I find your remarks in poor taste.

um.. sorry they didn't draw something that doesn't even exist the way your mind thinks it looks like.
I don't like the look of the Kirin and am disappointed by it. 
It looks nothing like the original Kirin of the legends. It actually looks like a poorly drawn donkey with flames added to it to me...bummer.

I need to know the name of the monion in the middle, the spinny one. My mouse only reveals the names of things onthis site 30% of the time, and when I tried to "save" the picture, the name on that didn't work either. Someone tell me it's name pleeeaaase! I'll love you forevah!

=) The Kirin is a mythological japanese creature. Here's what Encyclopedia Mythica says on it:
The Japanese unicorn, an animal-god who punishes the wicked with its single horn. It protects the just and grants them good luck. Seeing a kirin is considered an omen of extreme good luck - if one is a virtuous person.
While I am a fan of all things blue, I love the little shmousie. Perfect for fall!
