Looks like Subeta's Minion Market's been invaded by those little wild critters... Don't you think they all look like they're searching for someone?

.. Where could he be?

Thank you, Subeta, for creating these wonderful minions! Steve was a hero, to myself and so many others. The world needs more like him!

I love all these little guys, but I have to say that the little Sui is my favorite! She was such a cute puppy.

A few days before he died I was watching one of his shows with my friend, he was jumping off a boat and takling sea turtels. xD {He was in shallow water of course.} It was the funnyest thing ever. I'mma miss that crazy dude from down under. ;-; -huggles Crunter- Maybe I'll keep him afterall.. Friken Sting Rays, I bet all the other animals are ignoring them now, like, 'wtf? Dude that was just uncalled for.' xD

RIP Steve Irwin. Hopefully, the work he has put into helping wildlife will continue even though he's passed away.

I hear that they do infact plan on airing the video with his death .. but I'm not sure. I keep hearing, "That's what Steve would want" .. which, I can't deny that I'm quite curious to see it myself. Even though if I did see it I still wouldn't believe he's dead .. it's never going to be something I can grasp. He lives . .

THere's a video of him dying too. They may or may not release it, they left the decision to air it up to Teri. It shows him whimpering as he pulled out the barb.

Steve was loved worldwide. We Australians have no claim on him - especially after he was hit with the tall poppy syndrome in the past few years (everyone trying to bring him down)

What a lot of people don't know, is that he was a wonderful ambassador for biosecurity Australia. He was the public face of customs in this country, and we have a LOT to thank him for, for that alone.

Yes, he took risks, yes he probably didn't do the right thing all the time, but he did a lot more good than bad for worldwide awareness of Australian reptiles and other animals in this country that are often misunderstood internationally. He turned Australia zoo into something to be proud of, instead of something to be embarrassed about, and he is directly attributed to reducing the incursion of foreign pest and disease by 5% with the campaign featuring him, alone.

Thanks Subeta for such a lovely tribute It is a testament to his generous spirit and friendly character that his loss is mourned worldwide.

Taka, we were in no way saying that the US is getting hit harder by this, than australia. I'm fully aware that he was a huge deal, and an exceptional member of soceity there, however he made an impact on the entire world.

We never made a claim that there was any one portion of the world that was affected more by his death, and I really can't believe that you would trivilize something like that, when we tried to do something nice for him.

Ugh.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

D'aawwr, I didn't realise first off what these were for, but... ._. It's hitting us Australians harder than it could ever hit the US in my opinion.

Wow .. thank you, Subeta .. this really means a lot to me. I really loved watching Steve, and I've got to get all these minions. I've been teary-eyed on and off since last night when I found out about it .. it still hasn't sunk in, and I don't think it ever will .. it's hard to believe that he's really gone. Best of luck to the Irwin family ...

I couldn't believe when I hear some say "he got what was comming to him." I was shocked. No one deserves death because they loved wildlife. Rapists, murderers, etc...they deserve what comes to them. Steve was none of the above. //// He was such a kind man, and he died far too soon. Rest in peace Steve. I hope there's a great big crock for you to wrestle with up there.

There's some show on the Animal Planet right now called "Caught in the Moment" that's featuring Steve if anyone cares to know.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Oh my God, I didn't even know that had happened before i saw this! This is so...its just wrong what happened to him. I can't believe it - I was just watching his show right before seeing these.

You don't even think about it; people like Steve Irwin you only see on TV, and you don't know them, but when they die you can be devastated. I didn't even watch the show too often and I'm crying. Its just so unexpected...and he went in such an odd, startling way. ...God.

And not only is it horrible for his wife and kids, and all the people that knew and worked with him, but a huge blow for enviromental and animal conservation as well.

This is such a wonderful, thoughtful tribute. Rest well, Crocodile Hunter.

Although I disagreed with some of his methods (as did many professional herpetologists), there is noone in the herpetological community that I have ever spoken to that can deny the work this man did in raising the profile of our field.

He will be sadly missed, but the legacy he will leave will be eternal. Conservation and our wildlife will forever be in his debt.
