um honeybear i dont think its narrowminded of me at all. obviously its an unfair advantage. You may have failed all those classes but you know what you had an opportunity to even know the concept while us younger people have not been exposed to that kind of math. I never said that because your older your smarter you'll get the answer right. at least you have a chance of answeiring it and try to work it out. i dont even know where to begin.

I never said anything about just giving a GA away for ANYTHING, I was replying to someone else's post about age playing a factor in knowing the answer...

And as for the vending machine I was waiting to hear and actual "click" like the trivia made it sound like we were looking for.

oh my gawd!!! after about hour of podering calcualting and experimenting with sugar cubes and toothpicks I FOUND THE AWNSEWR!!!!!! it makes PERFECT sence, and i am sure this is write! YAY!

And Leftovername, you're assuming that just because someone is older that they understand this? That's kinda...well, narrowminded of you if you do think that way.

I'm 28 and I took algebra, geometry and physics in high school. And you know what? I FAILED each of those classes. I hate math. I'm better at science. But still, for you to assume that just because I'm older that I should not only understand the question, but be able to answer it correctly is just wrong.

Yay physics... stuff you don't learn till highschool if you even opt to take it... kind of a bummer to the young society that plays on the site. Age is a partial factor, but not a complete factor. The actual factor is if you know or have taken physics.

You are permitted to ask real life relatives, teachers, etc. who do not play on Subeta to help you. I'm older than a couple of you put together as well as a college graduate with a degee... and I still don't know to do this! XD Age is no advantage.

Get over it, leftovername. It's how life works. They were young, once, too.. plus, age has NOTHING to do with it. If you want to swap blame, we could blame you for not skipping a few grades. Just try next time.. there will be easier ones.

im good at math but im not old enough to have already learned this. i hate questions like this. its SO biased. old people get a big advantage and thats not fair at all. if by making some advanced math the only way to make a question REALLY REALLY hard then this is so wrong. i was gunna use another word and no it wasnt a swear word but it was insulting. just trying to calm myself down. im not answering it today.

So if the answer was 30 {Witch I'm not saying it is that was a random number} would we just put our guess in as 30 or t = 30?
Sorry I'm very dumb when it comes to math. ><
And again, I'm not saying the answer is 30, I'm just using that as an exsample. So don't go puttuing that as your answer because you will lose. :/

i actually learned this stuff on my gr 9 science. it was the only thing i learned in my astronomy unit. it was just about how to estimate the distance of a star from earth by using this degree adn trianglee thingy majigy. the tension part im TOTALLY lost. im sure i can learn this somewhere in the internet.
