Why do so many people dislike the new pet. I love it the way it is. The dillema is cartoony and it hasn't been re-vamped so why should this pet. And the garden is purdy, I feel like I could actually walk into it.

I love the garden. I don't care that's it's unconventional Subeta art..I wouldn't mind the rest of the site's scenery converting to this soft style. The fence stands out, but then, it's man-made, so maybe it should.
I would've loved to have seen some different greens going on with the Aenoid. I love the head, it's reptile-ish. The body's a little lackluster, I would've loved to have seen it swarming with a mixture of thick and delicate roots/tentacles. But then, perhaps Subeta's simpler species are in short supply.
o__x A venus flytrap pet? x3 But I already made Zetsu a graveyard kora >> I'll have to keep an eye out for graveyard, but I don't know if I'll change or not x3
But.
Bovynes are Subeta's pets, and Subeta's pets are different from real life things? They have their own creativities and things that set them apart from the "real world" and "real world" animals.
For the garden, I think we tried to just stick with "garden", instead of it having tenticles sticking out and unicorns prancing and faries flying around in it. XD; Like, I'm guessing it was drawn to look as realistic as possible, because that's what the intent aimed for?
Though I'll agree, it doesn't "fit" the style. With cell shading, lineart, you know. But I just can't see it standing out from everything else. I know the differences, I can see them. It's that I don't think the differences are all that significant.
Oh well, I'm done being mean to everyone now xD I guess it's flat out my opinion, and me trying to defend the art in some sort of form. Blah. o: -crawls back away into shell-
JOY!!! I've been hoping for a plant pet! Personally, I love the Aeanoid. Must figure out how to get one of those aeanoid seeds...

I love it all. I wouldn't get one of the Aenoids simply because it's not my favorite type of pet. I prefer the cute fluffy ones. xD I already managed to snag a seed at the shop and planted it.

I was getting to the point, which was that even though Bovynes didnt have snout horns, it didnt stop them gaining them in the revamp, which was an attempt to tighten the reins on the style variations in pets, in other words, get some consistency in the art on this site.
This picture isnt in the same style as everything else on the site, and I (along with many others) were under the impression that this was something Subeta was trying to stop happening so much.
I'm not saying its a bad picture, I couldnt care less, and it is very nice. It just, doesnt suit everything else IMO.

Maybe I'm totally crazy, but I think the lineart is fine? It's not like OMGCRAZYSMOOTH, but it's not jagged and crappy looking either? :/ Unless my eyes are decieving me. And I casn't spell decieving either. XD; Ha.
As for the garden, oh no, big deal. Sorry that something turned out accually pretty looking, like what I think of when I think of "garden". Something pretty. With flowers that accually look like flowers, grass that looks grass, and dirt that looks like ... dirt. Dirt good enough to eat. Maybe I'm totally losing it, but the fence doesn't really stick out in my mind at all, it seems to fit with the picture perfectly.
And. I can barely see a box at all. Like. almost nothing. 
I have to turn down the lighting on my computer COMPLETELY to see the box at all. You guys have good eyes. And even then, I totally don't see why everyone is freaking out about it, it's not that distracting. At all. o__o;; Er.

Honestly I don't think it's that great...:/The aeanoid is just too cartoony and needs a revamp badly.No offense to the artist who drew it of course,but seriously,compared to the celinox....I won't say anything more.Sorry for the crits,but it's my opinion...the garden idea however is pretty neat.

Actually, this was in the works long before that suggestion in the Suggestions & Ideas forum was ever made. It just took quite some time to get all of the components together and get it al coded to work.
From an artist's point of view, beautiful, beautiful garden picture. Don't change it.
The garden picture is very, very pretty, and very different from every other picture on subeta. I like the real-ness of the sketch lines, but I realize others don't agree to the style of it.. But don't get me wrong, I looove it!
And the Aeanoid... I'm speechless. Its so cool and original, despite the wobbly lines and box XD;; Please don't revamp it just yet. Maybe it was meant to be different..? x3;; He looks like a rubbery snap-dragon thing.
OOH! And if you ever make a spectrum one, it should be a flower. <3

I'm with Quetzal too, actually. The fence on the garden image just stands out way too much from the realistic lineless background. And I think the pet looks great, just wish the lineart was a little smoother. Considering how many pets have been revamped recently so they would "better fit Subeta's style," it surprises me that this wasn't touched up a little more before its release. And yeah, that box around it is sort of distracting. :p
I'm not gonna complain though... not everything can be flawless ^^; And I still want to hoard seeds and plant stuff!
