Oh, no, no--no one else said it here, no worries. It was somewhere on the forums I think. On one hand, I wouldn't mind it (I handle the dragons, too), but on the other, I suppose it'd depend on how much of a revamp was being asked for. Just, like...posewise? I dunno.

To be honest, I go about releases expecting some negative comments/flames along with the crits and compliments, so it doesn't bother or surprise me too much. I really expected people to give me a hard time for revamping one of MC's pets above all--I was incredibly nervous at the start. But I think despite that, it paid off. 
Ya know I don't usually get the time to read all the comments so as to prevent repeating things... There are a lot of them. X-x So sorry for reiterating, but if that's the case, just ignore me, no harm done. I was just giving my honest opinion, but if it's of no use to you, there's no need to take it to heart.
Maybe you better put the contructive criticism notice up again next time.. People, please don't go "Awwwwhhhomg ah no NO NO its horrible nuu I liked the other better", because that's an insult to the artist, kinda.

Art-wise, it's a big revamp. A good one too.
Basically, it's just because most people are used to the old pose. I don't play Subeta often - I got 58561 sites to program - and I like it

ugh, they are all SO pretty, the revamp grew on me rather fast. I have to make MORE room now to get all the colors I want.. n_n; marsh, DM, reborn.. and then arid! I love them so much, tategami, amazing work.

Awesome! I've always loved the Magnus pet, but I always thought the original pose need some work especially when compared to the Chibi and Angelic version. I love the new pose! It's wonderful. I think it highlights the best the part of the designs while also giving us a better view of the whole pet. I like that I can see it's face and most of it's body rather than just the side. This is definately one of my favorite pets!

And wow, Ananas, I think you're the third person I've heard today ask about a dragon revamp. D: I can't say yes or no yet, since I'd have to ask a higher-up on it, but consider this me letting you know that I heard the suggestion, as a start.
I think you're right on the wings, too. See...somewhere in here, or the DM/RB news post for more behind that. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere...
You know, I quite like the revamp... I love the glossy eyes... but I can't help feeling that the Magnus resembles the Dragon too much now. :/ Maybe the Dragon needs a revamp soon too? ^^;
Not to put any more pressure on the already hard working subeta art team, but they're both dragon creatures, admittedly the magnus is more gargoylish, but the do resemble each other quite a bit.
And I hope I'm allowed to leave a constructive criticism... because one thing that bugs me a bit and would like to see improvement in are the wings.... something, just makes it look unbalanced and I think it has to do with them. I think it would be better if they were level. :/ Just something if you're thinking of future improvements...
Tate, I think you misunderstood my meaning. For the past several pet revamps there were quite a few noticeable changes made in response to onslaughts of user suggestions and complaints; not so with this one. I accept that I was wrong in saying the Magnus was unchanged since the poll, but the changes are very subtle, as Saga noted. And I followed the old Magnus revamp thread (with the poll) very closely, so I know there were a lot of issues brought up that seem to have been disregarded in the final version. I know not EVERY suggestion can be honored, but a lot of the ones that came up the most often were not, and the ones that were are barely noticeable. Now that I can see them, I do agree that they are improvements... I just still think it could've been improved more, and it seems many others do too.
That's all I meant. I apologize if my first comment caused any misunderstandings or hard feelings. I totally respect all the work that I know you put into the new Magnus, and like I said, I think you did a fantastic job.
As for graveyard... my only problems with it are the thick, stiff outlines and the flies. If it could be kept in the same pose but just given a minor redraw, I'd probably be happy with it. But that's just me. :p

I'll weigh in. With no disrespect meant to the artist who drew the graveyard magnus, the pet itself is good, it's the flies I have a problem with. >.> But I believe this has been mentioned before.

AND, if I may, just one critique now that I have seen all the new Manguses...Mangii...erm, the shading under the legs is kind of odd on the cream Magnus. And actually, some of the lighter colored Magnus' have that odd shading around their feet and the gold has it on the belly and feet. Can that be blended better so it doesn't look separate from the rest of the pet? I don't know if it's striking anyone else that way. Just a thought. ^^;
But the blue eyes on the cream magnus.....SO sweet!
I'll take either way of old or new.
Graveyard is actually something I've been giving a long, hard think about. What do you all think? (Haha, I'm totally asking for it, I bet.. XD)
I don't think we ever got a final verdict on whether to leave it or update it, so I'm all ears on everyone's feelings on that. (I try to hear everyone out, honest!)

It really turned out QUITE well. And THANK YOU so much for making the arid magnus more..er..arid! I love the belly being dark and the body being pale...MUCH better!

The Bloodred color is so pretty it makes me want to cry... XD Awesome job, I think the coloring on these versions is much better than the other, not totally bright unless it has to be. Very very nifty.
You totally outdid yourself on this one Tategami! I love it. It makes me want to own one maybe someday. XD The dawn one so needs a red bow on its horn. XD Now you just have to update the angelic version and the chibi a bit. And do the spectrum and Marsh. ^^
Although, I do agree, the dusk is a little too bright. But, its not as bright as some of the dusk pets. Some are uber bright.
The Magnus redraw is absolutely stunning - the original was nice, but this one looks much more like a gargoyle. My favorite colors are Twilight and Common <3

And, (ugh, doublecomment, but I just forgot this) to answer you, RinnyZ, we've been directed to have sun pets be orange or red, not pink, which is why the color was changed on that--trying to fix the shades to what they should be, and all.

There are two changes between this and the original, but they're really slight. ^^;
The far eye was fixed to look much better, and the bones in the far wing were also changed; I compared them in Photoshop. >.>; I didn't notice at first either.

I'm still sort of on the fence myself. The art is fantastic, but there are some minor anatomy issues as others have mentioned... and I really miss being able to see the crackly marks down the back. I know they're visible on the new one, but they look like an afterthought now, somehow... and overall I'll just really miss mysticcookie's version. It was one of my 2 or 3 favorite pets, hands down. sigh But again, the art is extremely well done, so oh well... I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Ok I like the old Magnus, but it's field, dawn and dusk colors are gorgeous. <3 Cream is okay too, I don't usually like that color.

The Dusk on the other hand is like ZOMGBLINDING but it's okay. I think the Dusk on the Magnus should be a really deep blue, not a bright one. 0__o It doesn't seem to match the pet's . . personality/stance. Y'know. Gargoyle + bright color = very no?

Although I'm not a fan of this revamp, I have to say that Field is BEAUTIFUL. o-o I'm really impressed. <3 The best of the field pets by a landslide. The new Marsh is nice too. :3
But like everyone else, I wanna see the Twilight. >.>; The other colors I don't care for so far... and I think the anatomy could still have used some tweaking, especially in the shape and alignment of the horns and the length of the forearm.

holy crap the field looks gorgeous.needs one more pet slot now...im not trying to be annoying,but im thinking that the dragarth and/or the dragon needs a small upgrade.the dragarth looks kinda....like the older pets.its feet are flat,the wings are kinda wonky,and the tail just doesn't look fuzzy.and as for the dragon....i dunno,better pose maybe?again,not to be annoying or insult the artists who drew them.
and someone mentioned a montre revamp...montre revamp?(im so ignorant,i cant even remember the old kumos XD)
