Definately new! I adore this new one! And I like it's eyes, they make it look kinda spunky and like it's ready for anything ^^ Hanako's eyes make it look soft and calm...not quite Kanis-like ^^"

Yes Jacket you were right Kaninchen is the German word, Kanin was Swedish I think. It really is the best opition for a name change and you people REALLY shouldn't vote old only becuae you don't like the name change! Thats stupid, it's not like a name change really affects your pets character or anything O.o

Ooooohhhh.... Kanis. I like, And yeah, that would put an end to my griping about Canis being Latin for dog....

Otherwise, love this, tis kawaii! Definately voting for the new, as I like both the name change and art. ... Still want to go grab those big floofy ears too... xDDD

Wow ^o^ I do think this is quite an improvement There are still some little things that need fising so I have provided a redline for what I think needs alittle adjusting.

Some things like the fur are just little things that you can ignore and probably me being too picky xD

The legs though is the main thing to me. The original Canis had huge feet and the feet on the revamp seem small. I know that rabbits have tiny forelegs but the Kanis is not just a rabbit is it?

Another is the eyes x3 I think this maybe a style thing but the white shiny patches that cover a majority of it's pupil makes it lose a bit of depth. I have moved them into a corner in the redline where they seemed appropriate ^^ Which leads me to the very last thing <3 The light source on the new Kanis is a little confusing and I'm not sure where it is coming from. Other than those little thing it is a very gorgeous revamp <3 I hope that anything I mentioned comes into use even a little bit.

I absolutely LOVE this Rah!!! It's wonderfully bunny-like goodness. You rock and everyone who says otherwise can kiss my bunny-like rear. Hmph. xD

And I love Kanis over Canis, makes more sense to me.

I think the bottom is fine :p It's the angle it's standing...and bunnies have big bottoms anyway :p

I can't believe there's so much fuss over the changing of ONE letter. It's just to stop the 'but Canis is latin for dog!' argument :s It still sounds the same. We're not trying to be cool by putting a 'k' in there - we're trying to be reasonable. At least we're not changing the name entirely.

And seriously, it upsets me to think that there are people who like the revamp more than the old one but are still voting old just to keep the name the same.

I like this new one better, actually. Good work, Rah! It looks very cute and much more like a real rabbit now. The old canis's pose seems much too cartoony and angled (a real animal could never pull off such a pose).

About the name, though, I do think there may have been a seperate poll held concerning that, because it may be taking into account, and making people vote for the old even if they like the new better. shrug

Rah, you are awsome for doing such a considerate redraw on something you must've already spent so much time on.

I wont be dissapointed if the Kanis wins, it's very well done and does justice to the old Canis..But still I'll have to vote old. I like it's striking pose. I know the joyous face is bound to go no matter how much people like it, but perhaps it can just be toned down. The new Kanis did a nice job of that, but it's still to meek for my taste. I like the way the fur on the Canis' cheeks points upwards..it makes it look spry. Though the toes look more stylistic than those of a creature, they just need to be touched up to look less cartoony. I like the compact, aero-dynamicness of the body.

I think the Kanis is good enough to replace the Canis. So, may the users enjoy their voting.

homg homg homg.....this is adorible...love the name change...kanis makes more sense...cause come on people be honest, it looks like a rabbit not a dog! (cept for its legs but meh its a fantasy character) me being a rabbit fanatic that I am I loves this!! I only picked the old one cause it was the closest thing to a rabbit, I waited for the revamap for a long time!

I still like the Canis more. I don't like the name change to a K, and I really just liked the face and paws of the original better. Quetzal's example was great for the body.

I voted new. I love the pose. The only thing I don't like is the name change to a "k" and the black lines by it's left eye. I agree with Quetzal, that the end is just a tad too big. Other then that, great job Rah!

Hmm, I was liking the other revamp more, the dainty front paws on this one make the butt look a bit chubby. Both are very well done though, great job.

I've been waiting for this revamp, actually. The old one, no offense to the artist, was a tad too cartoony for my personal tastes. I like the more flowing version here that doesn't have the overly-cute eyes to it. I think the feet could have still been more hoof-like. And yes, the body could have been a tad smaller as someone else already pointed out, but overall, I'd go for the newer version. I liked the old name better though.

I did like this better than the old one, but I ended up voting old. I guess I don't like the eyes on the new one, especially the way it's looking to the side now...So "teehee." But I guess that's just my taste, and I didn't care for the Canis/Kanis anyway. should maybe have voted new

As for the name...I think I like the C better, but that may be just 'cause it makes it sound more exotic. I don't know.

I'm with Christine on the paws. One of my favourite things about th old Canis, was the paws.

But.. I voted new. This is a nice compromise.

I'm really happy that the eyes are more old-Canis style now. Thanks for giving me that, at least. XD

We're only changing it because people are too often thinking we're talking about a dog(Canis being the latin word for dog) when there is very little relation to the pet and a dog.

We made the change very undrastic, because we though if we had a huge name change that the users would just complain about it more :/

I'm not trying to insult the artist. I'm merely offering my opinions. I have no intentions to offend. People who think I'm being mean need to reread the comments with a different tone of voice in their head.

I understand the concept behind the name change, but I kind of liked the idea of a hybrid dog/rabbit... Making it more of a pure rabbit sort of makes it 'too' realistic. After all, it is supposed to be a fanstasy animal.

And I agree... it 'komes' across as trying to be 'kool' by calling it a 'kanis'.

I like this one much better than the old, and the other redraw. It looks very clean lined, and the shading looks great to me. I say YES! to the name change as well. Awesome job on this one Rah! We knew you had it in you! XD

Hrm... the revamp is certainly an improvement, the new version looks a lot less cartoony than the old one and this can only be a good thing.

Thing is, I understand perfectly the actual logic behind the name change but isn't it going to appear to some people that you're just changing it to Kanis to be... uhm... 'kool'?

I still have to vote for the old one. : This one is definitely an improvement over the previous revamp, and I totally salute Rah for being so faithful to everyone's comments for the new version. But it still looks a little too stiff to me, or something... I think it's the poker-straight look of the legs. Something about the shading too... it looks lovely on the head and tail, but somehow it just doesn't give enough depth and shape to the body and legs. And I still wish the feet were wider, like the original... and just... I'm really not sure, but it's just not my style. :x I'm not crazy about the name change either, though I understand why it was proposed. Only my own opinions though - no offense meant. And still a very nice job, Rah!
