Hey, that's my lineage too! I'm also mostly Norse pagan (and been banned for taking on the racists on a few sites but well worth it, imo.)
I'm off the McLaughlins/MacLachlans but my French line goes back to Rollo as well! My direct lines come from Ivar and Sigurd Ragnarsson. We bounced around England for a while in the Great Heathen Army, popped out in Ireland (Barid mac Imair), adopted the surname of MacLachlan (though spelled Maolsheachlann at first, Robert the Bruce misspelled it), ruled Ireland for a while after Barid, then bounced to Scotland where we were until taking part in the illfated Battle of Culloden wherein the then King of England AND Duke of Cumberland BOTH tried to off two branches of my family (MacLachlan and DeWitt.) The MacLachlans that survived were exiled from Scotland or took refuge with relatives (Stewarts, Spencers, Campbells, et al) and we've been over in the US and Canada since. Though I have a direct bloodline to Diana Spencer (Harry and William are like 13th cousins, as the lineage stands rn) and most of the Nordic royalty as it is today.
Reading into the family history past what my father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandmother compiled resonated with me as well. Having a couple Volva (I know I'm missing the two dots over the I) in the family made it moreso. I spent a good deal of last year learning the runes and I'm working on Bokmal to eventually move to Norway.
As it is, I could blather on with this for hours. I'm just pleased to see another heathen on here. Congrats on the win!
