Pet Spotlight Changes + General Reminders

Hello! Throughout the Summer, there will only be one pet spotlight a week. This will give us time to review the current nominated pets and fill up our Queue again. If we didn't make this change, the winner's queue would empty pretty soon. Some of you are such overachievers, having multiple pets nominated; it's great to see!

If the spotlight runs tonight, don't worry! It should start Wednesday, which I'm 95% confident it will. We'll see!

Speaking of Summer, the first day of the season is June 20. We will be rotating out the Millionaire Center and Seasonal Quest Shop on that day. So get your Spring goodies while you can!

Another reminder: Masquerade ends June 11 at 11:59pm. Get those dances in and duels done so you don't miss out on any last trinkets. The Masquerade challengers leave on June 16 at 11:59pm.

I honestly thought my pet was bugged cause it's listed as nominated and has been for a few years but never got any update on denials or acceptances, didn't realize the queue was so full.

Oh, I really would love to finish a pet and get it nominated, but I admit after 15-plus years on Subeta I'm still not even sure how this works. Always love seeing the winning pet profiles!

Apologies for bringing this up in two places (I also pinged Keith on the discord) but any chance there's a way we can use community help for reviewing nominated profiles? A few of us in the Weekly Pet Prompts discord were brainstorming as we would love to help with this! We know the staff are spread thin and pets are our Subeta passion, so we'd be down to take some responsibility for this off of staff! If it's something worth exploring lmk! <3

thanks for the tip! apparently I have hundreds of backed up dances I had no idea about... I've gone from 1k steamworks and 1.5k lounge trinkets to 7k in both... and I'm still refreshing T^T

There are quite a few that still need to be reviewed! I know I sound like a broken record, but we're a small team so we haven't been able to dedicate a large amount of time to go keep up as throughly as we have before! That's why this Summer we're focusing on gettin' these bad boys approved or at least notes on what y'all need to update.

Does this mean that a lot of recent noms have not been reviewed yet? I've had several nominations since returning from hiatus in December and have been really disheartened because I haven't had any of them win. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, especially since I've seen some other pets win within a couple weeks of being completed and nominated. But if they just haven't been reviewed, then I feel a lot better!
