When you hide certain body parts on your HA the body part disappears but doesn't add the black outline back. So for example, if I wanted my HA to have a missing or amputated left arm, I could use to close out the lineart. Otherwise the black outline would be missing. It adds a level of intention to the missing limb, instead of just hiding it to replace it with a body mod item.

Hiding the limbs doesn't even affect that part of the base, but maybe there are items that would need that, I just can't think of any.

These items are meant to add lines for when other items cover them up or if you hide the avatar base. It's intentional that it goes over the thumb I think so that the HA will have a butt again. :0

Why does the overlay for the prosthetic sock have a line that goes over the thumb? It's cool that we have something like this now. That's just the only thing that bothers me.

These are really smart! It took me a quick second to figure it out, but once I did I was like OH that makes sense they are to be used with switching parts of the HA base off in the Wardrobe so there's not just that missing line art.
