Voluntary Infection Program: 2024 Strain Names!

Those who started a 2024 strain at the Voluntary Infection Program when Gunner opened should be hitting the final stage soon, if you haven't already hit it. Which means you can now see the unlockable skins in the wardrobe!

Like previous years, we've taken the names that users have crowd sourced on the forums. These names are generally sorted before the stages finish, which can lead to some pretty wild names.

When checking your skins list in the Wardrobe, you can find the new strains as Threadful for Hook, Transmewtation for Vein, Mistery Meat for Fog, and Deathgrip for Stretch.

are you sure you're stuck? so far every time i've seen someone say they're stuck on stage 6, their avatar appears to be in the final stage to me, which yours does now. it might just be that your browser cache is behind. you should be able to remove the skin and get a new strain started!

The names are great, and I must say that the strains this year are absolutely fantastic. I love that they aren't all super big going outside of the HA base so they can be dressed more easily, like the older zombie skins, and that they are creatively creepy without eliciting a visceral feeling of disgust. I also really, really love the "cute" one (Threadful) this year!

Cool art and cool names! I think the snuggly skeleton is one of the cutest strains to date. The friendship theme is funny and so creepy. Like "knowing each other inside out"...damn. Thanks for all the hard work this year!

Beautiful strains this year! Love the friendship theme and cheering at the possibility of being able to equip other stages of strains!! I'd personally love the option to equip more of the intermediate stages vs just the first and last—but I appreciate that even just one alternate stage is being considered. Much love. ❤

The themes went along with our monthly collection, friendship! There was "two is better than one", "making friends", "knowing each other inside out", and "helping hands" as the prompts for the artists.

I see stages of Deathgrip (stretch) for you on your HA!

I love Transmewtation, and going for Threadful now (I mean, obviously). Deathgrip is not only a very fitting name, the skin is pretty awesome... But also gives me the heebies AND the jeebies. That thumbs up though.
