IT IS TIME TO BATTLE

What's this? The battle coliseum is back! The battling revamp is now 99%* complete! Before you go battle crazy, check out the list of everything that has been changed while the coliseum has been down.

⭐ All opponents have had their logs (wins/loses/ties) reset. What's this mean? It means you can battle everything again for more loot! ⭐ All permanent opponents, not including the Paramnesia challengers, now have loot past 10 wins. ⭐ Weapon loot drops for challengers before 2024 (and a few other opponents) have been retired from the opponents and moved to achievements where one additional copy can be won. ⭐ Freeze rates have gone down on opponent weapons and scrolls. ⭐ Eggs!!! All easy and medium difficulty opponents (normal, secret, CS) drop more egg boosters to give small pets those big gains! ⭐ Leeches in the battle shop are now 1 token instead of 10.

Thanks everyone who worked hard to make the changes, I'm loving getting more books. I also would like a quick stock option for deleting the eggs, since none of my pets can use them. My little family of 19 are all tier 7 thru 11 and I don't plan on having any new members join the flock. So, as someone else said--my inventory is getting very eggy, and I've barely battled! :) I would also enjoy being able to donate or give them away. Thanks in advance for considering this.

I think it sucks making Cash Challengers into achievement holders! I never understood why they did it before except to make their weapons more rare! We paid for these challengers. I see why people got pissed over this last reset!
Thank you for at least letting us get another copy of the retired Cash Shop achievement challenger!

you can also delete the eggs? Since you wanted to put them in a gallery I figured you wanted to keep them. And they're edible if you have a gourmand.

Batista, Bubbles, Kain, Reischen, and Possessed Maleria look like the non-CSC challengers with new achievements. Achievements were only added for opponents that drop weapons

Thanks for that information. Will put it on my calendar. Not sure what tossing the eggs into my vault will do since I'm not planning on my new pets. And it looks like I won't be able to do most of the battle achievements because they aren't showing up in the challenge page so they must be CSC.

Not sure what to do with the eggs since my lowest pet is tier 4 & I can't put them in my gallery. Also are all of the achievements not set up yet? I've beaten fish breath more than 10 times with 2 different pets and achievements still says 0/10 & I don't have the title.

while throwing my pets at the egg-dropping opponents, i noticed a couple of the medium opponents didn't drop any eggs - erdoo, waradorstiltskin, and possessed mattieu. battled erdoo at least one more time on a different pet to see if that was a fluke, no eggs - intentional or missed opponents in the egg sweep? 😅

Thanks to the Brooch loot I've only recently noticed, I can actually put the eggs into vault. But why does it have to be by hand? Why can't we quickstock them? With the masses coming in now, that's like a new punishment for battlers!

I think the retired CSC challenger loot has to be replaced by a new item or at least some CSC reimbursement, these challengers are not worth the CSC we paid for them anymore, and some were paid a few months ago in 2023.

It happened last time there was a reset as well. I think it's to stop people with 20 high tier pets being able to go through and getting 20 expensive high tier weapons a second time.

Personally, I find it annoying that I pay money for new challengers that I may not even be able to beat yet with the expectation that when I've trained my pets to a high enough level each one of them will be capable of winning all of the loot. I can see restrictions like this on normal or secret challengers, but to put them on cash shop challengers after buying them really rubs me the wrong way as someone who has purchased each and every one.

What is the reasoning behind making weapons achievement prizes (and thus one-offs) instead of loot drops? This is a genuine question because I'm a big dumbdumb!

Since most of the weapon drops are outclassed by the time you can get them (like, IME, most half-useful weapon drops are at least one or two tiers below the tier you realistically need to be at to consistently beat the challenger); it always seemed like their purpose was to gear up other battle pets if you've the patience to train more than one pet, or, more realistically, to sell off to people whose pets are actually at that tier; but reducing them to achievement drops necessarily cuts off the ability to get duplicates and thus disincentivizes selling them.

Or am I missing something?

What do you think about a stat draining function in the pools. Say we have 100 speed leeches and you use that function to delete the stats we want to redefine. Just thinking outside the box.

Some of the very old loot items don’t have a rarity of 170. It’s not unusual, but can be annoying.

You are correct! And the eggs are stat boosters that only work on pets in tiers 1-3.

I know we add loot to older regular/event/secret challengers but I don't think we've done additional loot to cash shop challengers before. I'll talk logistics with about it. 👀

I believe there is a spread sheet of prizes for each opponent going out to over 250 battles if a prize is awarded. Maybe someone can post it here. That would be a huge help

For the opponents who had weapons removed from their loot, would it make sense to give them something else to replace it? Just thinking it kinda sucks to beat, say, Crithbolcan , and get a cheap minion and that's it.
