Quest-a-thon: LETS GO

Get ready, get set, QUEST.

The Quest-A-Thon has officially started! You’ll have until 11:59pm on July 12 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a community. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE (keep reading to the end of the news post)!

Completing quests from the following quest givers will count towards the goal: Blue Building, Carl, Cinthia, Mori and Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.

Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone. We will not be penalizing users for using forum groups to store their sP.

Okay but the current prizes don’t interest me.

The point of the quest-a-thon is to encourage everyone to do their quests and come together as a community to beat a common goal. Yes, we have some set prizes, but you also get those sweet sweet quest points + sP from the quest givers. Starting on July 7, quests will be giving out some old holiday items as a nice treat. We’ll have more information about who will be giving out what on that Wednesday! :)

What happens if we make 1,000,000 quests before the deadline?

There is a second goal! We did this for the last quest-a-thon because y’all were amazing and it worked out well! If y’all make it past 1,000,000 quests, there will be a news post bringing attention to the second goal and reminding everyone what ALL the prizes would be.

If 1,000,000 quests get completed: Participants of at least 1 quest will receive 1 pet slot, 1 Style Hoodie. Anyone that does at least 100 quests will receive a new Green Sun Sparkle HA Border. We will once again be awarding the Gold Sun Sparkle border to the top 100 participants. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border)
If 2,000,000 quests get completed: All goal one prizes (assuming you meet requirements) + 5 referral points + 10 loyalty points + a forum title yet to be determined. Give your suggestions for it in the news comments and we’ll do a poll later!

If y’all don’t make the 2,000,000 quests completed goal, that’s okay! You’ll still get the 1,000,000 quest goal prizes, assuming y’all have beat that. ;)

there were a few where we needed some help to make it to the end (every quest counting as two, or every quest being a weekend quest, an extension), so i think 1.5m is the sweet spot for this kind of event ^^; (also people get really mean if it looks like we'll lose, and that takes all the fun out of it, so it's good that staff have settled on a doable range lol)

Last year the initial goal was also 1 million, with the additional goal of 2 million which we also completed.

I don't think there was one in 2019, but I found in 2018 it was 1.25 million for the goal and in 2017 it was 1 million. So they tend to be in a similar range. But I guess it also depends on how many people are online at the time. I remember there was one year where we came close to not reaching it I think, but I can't remember exactly when it was or what the goal for that year was.

2nd day and I got 'em all done. Yesterday I even got a bonus quest from the Wizard, so I think that bodes well for the rest of the event! I'm REALLY happy to see how quickly we're racking up quests!!

Normal quests (excluding Sarah and BB) have 10 each, so that rounds up to 90 Blue Building has 5 Sarah has 10

If you complete all the daily quests at least once, you'll end up with 105 total quests done.

That's a great suggestion for the forum title, with the "no I in ___" one. I was thinking of something similar earlier or like using team(work) in it or whatever. If it makes the poll, I'll vote for that one lol.

Any quests you do automatically count towards the total. You don't have to do anything to make them count

You can create a forum group here which has a group bank in it and use that to store sP so that you can do Sarah's quests since she requires you to have under 1,500,000 sP at one time. You could also spend your extra sP instead if you didn't want to use the group bank

If one person gets the bonus quest buff, that person takes over the top spot in the top 100. Everyone who ties with all their quests done but no buff would then take the second spot, with 98 more places behind them (so third might be everyone who missed one single quest, fourth for people who missed two quests, etc.)

i kinda just got an answer to that one, i thought it was just people who had the most quests who get the border but sinces its top 100 even if a lot of people get the buff and get ties in 1st, 2nd etc. theres still the top 100 places that can get the border so it should be fine!!

i just had a thought! what about buffs, has this been addressed? (i saw asked but didn't find an answer sorry!) so let's say 2 people do all the quests every single day, none of them miss any so they are equal... but one is luckier and gets the buff...... that would break the tie and potentially make you miss the gold border? (which i don't have yet)
