Quest-a-thon: SOON

We hope you are ready to quest because the quest-a-thon is coming up!

Starting at 12:00am on July 2nd you will have until 11:59pm on July 12 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a team.

Like always, the completing quests from the following quest givers will count towards the goal: Blue Building, Carl, Cinthia, Mori and Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.

Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone. We will not be penalizing users for using forum groups to store their sP.

Of course y’all are likely wondering what the prizes will be.

1 Pet Slot
Anyone that does at least 100 quests will get a new Green Sun Sparkle HA border! We will once again be awarding the Gold Sun Sparkle border to the top 100 participants. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border)
1 Style Hoodie. Note: This item will transform into the Fashion Hoodie, which was used as a previous prize in two quest-a-thons, as well as the new item Boutique Hoodie. The Fashion Hoodie will NOT be able to transform into these items until AFTER the quest-a-thon. We added two variations this time so those that have double Fashion Hoodies from participating in the past quest-a-thons can switch one out. If you don’t participate, but still have a Fashion Hoodie from a previous quest-a-thon, you’ll be able to transform it after the quest-a-thon is over!

Is there a way to not count people who already have the gold sun border for the top 100, because I could see a lot of 2020 winners doing less quests out of charity - to make sure that others get the border as well.

That could be a massive hurdle.

There are no separate teams. It's just everyone working together. If the community as a whole does 1,000,000 quests by the end of the event, people who participate will receive the pet slot and hoodie (in the past, at least 1 quest has counted as participation) and people who do at least 100 quests will get the green sun sparkle HA border. People who do within the top 100 total number of quests will get the gold sun sparkle border from last year

I've never done one of these before. How do you get the pet slot and hoodie?

Is it by doing lots of quests? If so, is it an amount you can only be able to do by joining a team? How do teams work?

For what it's worth, since I know this is basically heresay, I did file a ticket in January of this year, and from that response, the forum bank workaround is not limited to quest-a-thons:

The "at your own risk" does mean with regards to trusting potential other admins - as the news comment by Amber stated, staff won&;t be penalizing users at this point in time. However, if someone takes the sP out of the forum bank, staff may not be able to restore it to you.

and anyone else who is curious how to do the forum group thing:

Basically just create a forum group for yourself that only you will have access too. In the setting when you create it, select "closed to everyone" so random people can't join and choose the ping settings to "admin only" so no one can randomly ping your group either. Then you just go to your forum group on the page, click on the area where it says "Bank" and you can contribute as much sP as you need to be able to do Sarah's quests. Your sP will be stored safely in there, and when you're ready to take it out again you can remove it and put it back in your regular vault or whatever you want to do with it.

It's best to make the forum group private so only you are a member and other people can't join or be admins so that no one else has access to your sP, if the forum group is only for this purpose. Also I would only recommend doing this specifically while the quest-a-thon is active as otherwise it can be considered an exploit to do extra quests you're not usually able to do.

here's a link to the account search for the original fashion hoodie. this thing is locked to your account and can only be deleted or moved between your inventory, your wardrobe, and your vault.

it was a prize for the 2020 and 2018 quest-a-thons, so if you participated in those, you either have the hoodie(s) somewhere or you deleted it? if you're sure you should have it and you don't, you might want to file a ticket to see if a staffer can figure out what happened to it.

Do I have to use a forum group to store SP or can I do Saggi, spend it then do Sarah? If I have to, I don't know how to use the forum to store SP and would appreciate some help.

Does anyone have any tips on using a forum group to store your sp? I've been casually focused on the richest user achievement and am at and am definitely not eligible for Sarah quests otherwise, lol. But I'd like to give it a try!

I have some Buddy GAs too, I usually hesitate to give them out in case people don't actually want them. Also, there is a way to opt out of being given one in your user settings but it's not widely known.

Thank you for clarifying the Sarah's Quests rule in the news post. ❤ I remember that being confusing last time. Also, it's such a good idea to make the hoodies transformable so we can change our second fashion hoodie from last time! Love the new colours as well. :) Can't wait!!
