Quest-A-Thon: The results are in!

Y’ALL DID IT AND MORE.

As a community, you all completed 2,727,204 quests. We on staff are incredibly proud of every single participant!

Speaking of participants, you all will receive 1 pet slot, sparkles forum title, the blue sparkle avatar border, a fashion hoodie, and 5 referral points. Those that place in the top 100 for quests completed will also be receiving the gold sparkles avatar border.

We will be giving the prizes out next week since this is a holiday weekend and we want to make sure nothing goes wrong with those prizes. ;)

Wanted to do more with this but rl obligations prevented me from participating more. Ahh well.. I hope next time real life will leave room to participate. At least I was able to do a wee bit of quests.

Oh my gosh I missed so many days for questing... I just hope I did enough to earn the prizes! This was a fun event... even if I was in hospital for most of it lol! Congrats, all!!!

if you did at least 1 quest during the quest-a-thon then you're considered a participant :) as far as I know no one's gotten their prizes yet, they haven't said yet when exactly we can expect them.

I wonder what were the requirements to be considered a "participant"? I haven't got anything from the 'mid-rewards' either. Sorry if this is not the appropriate place to ask.

really warms my heart we knocked it out of the park, I remember the previous Quest-A-Thon we had to get an extension and we barely made it, people were begging on the forums to get people to quest and giving out 1 week GAs. I hope it's a sign that our lil community is thriving and getting a lil stronger <3

And yeah, IDFW Sarah (workaround or no, too lazy/not gonna risk it) so I knew I'd never get in the top 100, but I like the blue border better anyhow so I'm cool with it. I liked having the stretch goals as we passed them, maybe next time we could do something like that again? Questathons are one of my favorite things on Subeta. /8D\

tbh I’m so glad there was a top 100 prize, or all I would’ve done would be one quest and then leave it up to everyone else to make it to 1mil. If the goal was lowered to “do at least 1000 quests” or whatever has been suggested, I would’ve certainly stopped questing after I reached that goal. But since there was something to strive for that meant I had to keep questing, I was here for at least 2 hours every single day doing every single quest. Every night I made sure I got online to do my quests. No other prize system other than a top 100 would’ve got me to quest that much!

Thanks for letting me know. They must have decided this later on, because I'm pretty sure they first stated they were aware it was "gray area" and stressed not do it. I think if they keep doing this for quest-a-thons they should find a work about code that temporarily lifts the requirements for both sarah and sagg quests. I don't have close friends that are active on here anymore to trust with my points... and not everyone reads every comment on news feeds. This should have been made clearer.

Yes, Amber said that people can use workarounds, which IMHO is pretty F'ed up, considering that I personally know people who have had their accounts frozen for using Forum Groups to stash their SP in so that they could do Sarah quests. And their accounts have NOT been unfrozen. JUST SAYING...

Amber did state before the questathon started they would not punish anyone for using a work around and it was okay for people to do Sarah’s quests AND Saggis quests and she did state all would count

Wait, I thought we weren't allowed to do the workaround thing with Sarah's quests? Here I thought I was doing good with 2 bonus wizard quests. They shouldn't count those extra quests towards top placement if we really weren't suppose to do them anyway. Sounds like punishing the rule followers again if they don't address the issue.

very excited for another pet slot especially, I'm planning on making a galactic pet and worried for a bit that you could only turn a pet that colour while the caves were open and it looks like we're getting the prizes right after they close again, but I just checked and it looks like you can do the quest on any date so that's good to know :)

I love quest-a-thon's because so far they always meant a free pet slot, and it's a nice way to force myself to do quests and make some extra funds in the process (and replenish my wizard tokens and quest points), but I'm also kinda glad it's over for now because my adhd makes it really hard to focus for long amounts of time on grinding activities like questing every single day.. I managed to do almost* all my quests anyway by putting on background music and kinda trying to do it on autopilot while thinking about other things :')

*(I only missed the first 2 days of sarah's quests because I wasn't sure about the workaround thing, and 2 other quests because I tried doing them on my phone in the morning while I was only half awake and I fell back asleep in the middle of them lol.. but I think missing 32 quests total should still put me in the top 100..)
