More Pet Name Updates

Legacy Name Removal An extra confirmation page has been added to the Legacy Name Removal feature of the Bathhouse.

If you have accidentally removed a pet's legacy name prior to this news post only, please file a ticket and we will restore it.

Pet Name Exchange We have removed the page for swapping two pet's names, since you can now simply rename both pets. If you have used the name swapping feature since the Non-Unique Pet Names update on July 26th, please file a ticket for a full CSC refund.

[edit] It's been pointed out you cannot actually have two pets with the same name. Pet Name Exchange will be back soon, but in the meantime continue to file tickets if you have used it as it will not cost 750 CSC when it returns :)

Is there a way to search pet names? I know it doesn't matter necessarily but what if toy know a pert means but not the owner? Such as: I have the legacy pet Random, but if I'm curious how many people have named their pets Random now and want to see their designs and things... is there a search for that? Or will there be?

, I'd also like to add to what said, in the past I've also used it for two pets who I had zapped for specific skins, one was what I wanted the other to be and vice versa. It was a lot cheaper to do that than buy expensive potions to get them there, if the most expensive even worked to get zapped skins (I can't remember), and zapping could have taken months or even years longer to get them both in the right skins.

Thanks for the extra confirmation page. :) It'd suck to accidentally remove the wrong legacy name!

Some people like to swap names between two of their pets because one has stats or other details they want for a particular pet. Especially if it's something that's time consuming or difficult to obtain. Battle stats, pet IDs, date of birth (especially glitched dates), and now legacy names are all things people might want to swap names for.

Disregard my last post, please. I misunderstood because I was reading it under the assumption that the purpose of the name exchange was to make it easier to trade pet names with another user. I've never used it myself, though, so I don't know how it works. Although I have to admit, if that's not the purpose of that feature, I don't understand the point of it.

What happens when a renamed (or new) pet goes into the Adoption Center? This might have been answered before but I guess Legacy ones could revert to old name??? but what about the others. Don't they have to be tied to an account for these new names to work? Or we could have lots of duplicate names in there

It's a big change! A lot to adjust to in only a short time. I'm pretty impressed with how quickly you guys are sorting things out behind the scenes to get everything working again (and I can't wait for the new search, because I'm really excited to start browsing peoples' pets now lol).

That being said I really appreciate the refund option because I totally wasted a bunch of CSC on name swapping a pet when I... Absolutely did not have to. Oops.

Wait actually - You're right. We.. somehow totally overlooked that? We will definitely work on putting that back then, properly updated to account for recent changes - but it's not going to cost 750 CSC so in the meantime everyone please do file tickets for your refund if you've used it in the last 4 days!

Guess I'll be posting an amendment to this soon. We're doing our best! "^^

ok maybe I'm missing something, but could someone explain how you could swap two pets' names by renaming both of them seperately? if you're not allowed to have 2 pets with the same name, then how would you rename the first one? if you try to change their name to something another pet you also own is also still called at that point.. or could you change 2 names simultaneously?
