Friendly Challenger: Blake, back again!

Ha! I knew there had to be legendary pets out there somewhere! We did it, folks. We could technically all smugly go home now but why be smug when you could be double smug?!

There’s like, infinite exciting and dangerous terrain out there, I almost don’t know where I wanna go next. I’ll go on ahead, and if you can find me, I’ll challenge you to a little friendly battle again to test you against all aspects of the terrain to make sure you’re ready for the big hunt.

Got him right after clicking on Darkside. Unfortunately, he's quite beyond my highest level pet's stats. Too bad/ Kind of liked that BG.

I think that's what's going to happen this year. Although I did have the idea of getting a 13th bonus challenger of just him as he normally is, I wonder if that will happen or not...

We "found" the mythical beast that was the Cash Shop challenger for last month - news post link

It seems like we're going to be finding a different beast in each of the Subeta lands as the theme for the monthly challengers this year. Except we don't really have to do anything to find it, it's just flavor text for the lore aspect. But it's not a plot with steps or anything, just the battle challengers.

Also yes there are different versions of Blake to find for the different lands he's going on expeditions in.

Aren't there supposed to be opponents during survival? My achievements say I'm missing beating 2 opponents for survival. Hope they appear soon. :)

No problem! It mostly seems like a way to get some new lore and stuff out of it with the mythical beasts that will be the Cash Shop challengers (based on last month, anyway). So yeah, don't worry too much if you can't defeat him every time. :)

Also this isn't really a plot, just the theme they're doing for the monthly challengers this year. So we likely won't get anything out of defeating him every time except the regular loot items.

I think you can technically find him anywhere in the land he is in, it's just random so some people may unlock him on the first visit and others may need a few refreshes.

I really ought to try this out. I wasn't able to do battles before because the game wasn't accessible but now that I am using a new browser and a better and more modern screenreader, maybe it will go better.
