A few reminders and updates!

Just a reminder to everyone that Luminaire ends at 11:59pm on December 31. Our New Year celebrations will start roughly at midnight on January 1! We’re looking forward to bringing in the new year with y’all.

We’ll be releasing the January Collections to the Cash Shop on January 2, so you have an extra day to grab anything you might need from the December Collections. <3

Now to give you some updates about things!

We’re aware that cron isn’t resetting properly at midnight. For the past few nights, we’ve had staff members manually resetting things. Please continue to be patient with us while we work this out. <3

We’ve had a few questions about when we’ll be doing our annual Free Shop extravaganza. While we would love to spoil y’all, we’re still working on issues here and there on the site. Our goal is to open it sometime in January. We know a lot of you need extras of various Melody items that are multiple uses, like those delicious wearables. ;)

The Carnival is still spooky, yes. We’ve promised that would be explained this month, but it looks like it’ll be early January, sorry!

:) We’ll have this information if/when it happens. I’ve already strictly told Keith not to go off on his own and open the shop :p I never want to change it back tbh The NY Tokens will still go out, don’t worry. :) That was in another news post! was originally working on that, but had to focus instead on all the issues with the site. We’re going to be doing that contest in the future for a different holiday.

They did say that there will be New Year celebrations, so it is likely we'll get the tokens. They're given in quests as well as randoms, after all.

I haven't been to the Delphi Carnival in months. Hadn't realized it had changed until I saw this news post. Went and looked, and now my curiosity is piqued. Looking forward to finding out, whenever that may be.

If the quests are going to give out holiday items again, will that include Luminaire items? Since most people were disappointed by how little were given out in such a short time the other month? Or will those be included along with the Melody items in the Free Shop?

What about the miniplot(?) that dealt with the disappearance of the Halloeve and Jakyl? Was that cancelled? Postponed?

That will be reset tonight manually if cron doesn’t work right! I found out about the vending way too late in the day to reset it today sorry. no it’s just 2018 tot items Eventually :p Tokens go out in multiple ways that you can spend in the New Year Shop. Yes, they’ll still go out in quests (they also go out via RE). We’re making sure an admin is on around midnight to reset things in case cron isn’t working, so there shouldn’t be an issue. :) We want to do different things with Dungarde, so he might pop up at another holiday. :)

They said they would bring it back this year, I'm guessing they didn't because of all the issues and stuff. I wouldn't have done much anyway because the inflation put me off it last year, but it still would have been nice for them to tell us they weren't doing it after all this year because of the errors so those who are more desperate for the achievement weren't left wondering.
