On the borderline the Silver Antlephore has won the Pet Spotlight!

Awesome pet! Lovely profile and excellent information. Even the TC is perfect. Brilliant.
BPD causes very Black and White thinking.. no Grey Look up: Zero Shades of Grey: Living with BPD
Does anyone know what the term "The Grey" means that they used a couple times? (like around the ribbon, "Who needs The Grey". but like, if the BPD ribbon is grey, wouldn't you want grey??? And they made the pet and page layout grey too?) I googled it but I got stuff about the "grey rock method" of setting boundaries with an abuser, and I'm pretty sure that's not what's being implied here.
As soon as I saw the name on my top bar, my brain instantly went "Borderline Personality Disorder?". I have it (along with PTSD, depression, and anxiety), and I'm always grateful when I see others learning more about it, or speaking up about it. Congratulations on the win, and thank you for spreading awareness!
Holy crap this hits home, as someone with an affected family member. Thank you so much! <3
Congrats ! I love your pets and what youre doing for raising awareness. :)
Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I struggle with BPD myself as well as everything else my awareness pets are for. They are a very large labor of love. I make them to spread education to every one willing to give them a read. ^^
thank you for spreading information and awareness thank you for doing it in such a lovely way just thank you

And now I've lost my flow. Rah. Ok, I might come back later and try to finish typing this up.
Anywho- I love the idea of awareness pets and I enjoyed the profile of this one!
Crap I hit send before I was done writing.
ok now representation on subeta has gone too far :/
(it joke. i'm borderline lol)
This [BPD] is part of one of my special interests lately, mainly as it is so similar to ADHD and yet ADHD is hardly diagnosed in women and BPD is rarely diagnosed in men.
Both conditions are defined by impulsive behaviour and rejection sensitive disphoria/fear of abandonment, both have a big emotional component (even though in ADHD is isn't emphasized and in BPD it is the emphasis) and both commonly involve a history of trauma and a pattern of unstable relationships. Self harm, eating disorders, feeling empty and ungrounded and suicidal behaviour are also very common with ADHD sufferers, especially when unmedicated. Interestingly enough also, PTSD patients are usually prescribed stimulant medication to help them cope with the after affects of their trauma.
There have been quite a few studies done on the overlap of the three conditions (ADHD, BPD and PTSD) and many papers written about the inherent sexism of society and the medical industry
Bless! I like how, though rewritten to the writer's own words, the information was highly accurate and this pet is DEFINITELY a great way to promote BPD awareness. Good on staff to choose to spotlight the pet as well!
Excellent all around! Congrats on the Win. and YAY awareness!
Congrats! Very informative, and I esp liked the thoughtful TC.
As someone with BPD, I love seeing stuff like this. :3
I think mentioning stuff about how the term "Borderline" is controversial, and about how stigmatized the disorder is, might be beneficial additions, but this is all super great!
