I am obsessed with the color pink in general, and I love classic pink piggies (fave animal) So naturally I am happy about this color and honestly feel I lucked out with it being pink by default, I totally expected it to be brown and more boar like too. Honestly, I'm getting boar-d of the debate. Jasper isn't trying to hog attention, merely provide feedback, and it's pretty hog-wash to argue over semantics over how directly or indirectly she states something. Some people are more direct than others; not out of maliciousness but just in how they communicate. Swine-ing about how people phrase things about the pig-ment of the chibi is just wallowing in a debate that wasn't intended to get started.

I ask everyone to please don't squeal so much about someone's semantics, even if they may be stated a little more baldly that you prefer. Put some oink-ment on your feelings, pork-favor.

(Oy. I hope that got it out of my system. XD )

All joking aside, I understand that it may seem rude in how Jasper phrased things, but from what I can tell, it was never meant to be taken as seriously and as personally as some people seem to be taking it. Some people just communicate more directly than others, with no maliciousness or intent to sound like a demanding child.

I was expecting something a little different BUT I LOVE THE OUTCOME AND WHAT A LITTLE PINK BLESSING and proved to be much better than I expected. Thank you staff, what a fabulous job you did on this sweet little piggy. <3 I like how the staff thinks tbh. Wow never would have expected controversy over the colour. Many baby animals have very different colouring from their adult forms. Anyway it's easy enough to recolour an overlay if one prefers. I think this is adorable.

They ARE chibis, though. And it's fine to have colour preferences lol. Nobody said you can't. You didn't say it was a colour preference until now, however. You said wild boars don't come in pink which is completely irrelevant because this is a virtual pet site and urubus aren't wild boars, just inspired by them. They already come in every colour of the rainbow, including pink (dawn).

You're honestly responsible for the response you got because your complaints didn't even make sense and you were immediately aggressive and rude to someone who pointed out that you were going into a LOT of detail in your complaint about a chibi urubu not having the colouring or looking enough like a wild boar which, again, is irrelevant because urubus are not wild boars.

I wasn't trying to be patronizing. I was not invalidating an opinion, anywhere. If you can't tell the difference between stating an opinion and stating a fact, you need to do some research. Stating opinions as facts can often lead to misinformation being spread, as many people take them, believe them, and spread them themselves. If someone told another person "this is how this is" when it's actually an opinion, that person is still going to take it as fact and spread it as such. You weren't being constructive. You were falsely stating opinions as fact, to which I corrected thinking it was just misinformation.

Constructive criticism can be wonderful. Opinions are great, and everyone has them. But knowing how to utilize either one of them is very important. Insulting something or stating a false fact and pretending it's constructive criticism or simply an opinion is going to do absolutely nobody any favors.

I'm sorry if my comment upset/put you down you at all. I was rather touched by your earlier comment; thank you for the validation about the coloration. However, people too often use "overlays" as a means of shutting down criticism; "you can overlay it, who cares?" and sure, it's an option but I don't see how that's supposed to stop me from sharing my opinion new releases? Okay, I can cover it; it still has faults tho.

I understand they can't make changes that'll please everyone and especially not me. I'm clearly in the minority on this one, and that's fine. Only time staff listened and changed anything on my behalf was when I made a meme depicting how faded one of the default hairstyles was, (back before we could customize all of that,) and they darkened it for me. I even think they used my edit to do it. I was touched but never expected them to do anything about it in the first place and I still don't.

I think the pink is very cute and is obviously meant to evoke baby piglets. I don't remember, was anyone fussy when the chibi archan was released because it had a mane? I know people weren't happy about the Torrey's coloring either because they incorrectly thought it was the only pet that wasn't like the common color, but more pastel.

Here's all the chibi pets that aren't the common color, btw.

I'm still not the biggest fan of the torrey but I love the mallarchy, which is doing the same thing this one is - changed to a color to evoke a baby one. (many many ducks species do not have yellow babies, but man are they still cute!)

And I for one love our new baby pink piggie even if the pet isn't one I'd get! That lil mohawk is so cuuuuute.

As for the overlay... There is nothing artistically wrong with this pet. All of your opinions on it can be done with an overlay. Since pets cannot come in every pose and color imagined up by staff, we are able to come up with our own to fit our own needs.

, the only kinda issues with that and not opting for a overlay to change the color is that you can't please everyone, even if some of the chibis reflect a smaller version of the common as others don't... you can only fix so much of whatever the issue based on feedback there is. People will want it as it, people will want it black, people will want it brown and to have this verses that on it and the only save for that is to have multiple options for the same things to provide and that itself it too much and unrealistic. There will never be a pet released, color release, or revamp that the subeta population as whole will 100% agree on. So overlay is the solve. To each their own when it comes to overlay and that's the solve offered for anything. -shrugs-

Could you not patronize me, please? Of course I don't opt to control the staff. I give my opinions (for better or worse) and am usually ignored. I have accepted that this is how things will be. Doesn't mean I should just sit there and say nothing.

Criticizing and questioning does not equal a control complex, nor is it something I should be crucified for, no matter how bluntly or plainly I state it.

As for speaking factually: I'm sorry for not including multitudes of "to me" modifiers. I would've thought those to have been obvious but apparently not. I will concede that I shouldn't have assumed the rules when it came to making these chibis but, can you blame me for thinking that's how it was? Most of the pets take after the basic versions of themselves.

Lastly, this overlay fallacy: Just because they're an option, doesn't mean people should just be quiet about pet revamps/introductions. The art can't improve so long as everyone just nods along with everything.

Huh, I looked at the base color of it and noticed it looks like a lighter version the dawn coloring XD I think this is the first time I've seen a chibi that does not have the same coloring as the common color. Odd but hey still cute (just not my type of pet right now :P )

If you don’t like the new pet color, then don’t get it. Constructive criticism is one thing like a glaringly obvious problem in anatomy, getting pissed off over the fact that it’s pink is another. That’s not constructive criticism, that’s your own preference.
