The warning just says the there is no guarentee the person getting the gift will like it.. Which, considering the item will be a suprise, is kind of a no brainer.
Perhaps it would have been wiser to say soemthing specifically about the gift's VALUE?

I tried to buy another 111k gift just as the 'THOSE POOR GIFT ELVES! OVER 1,000 GIFTS IN LIKE. 20 MINUTES. GIVE THEM A BREAK!! (fixing something, k.)' message appeared, sP gone but no gift received ;P
I like this idea, and it warns the items will be completely random. You could get a potion for 2k and a blob for 80k, lol. As it is, I've sent one so far - 1k for a Dark Matter Sushi. XD
