Running a shop is tiring work, much harder than tossing trinkets into the sea! I miss my days by the water, watching the never ending push and pull of the tide and the way the sun could seem to turn the blue waves to gold. I need a break, I think, but I can't leave my shop unattended on just a whim. Perhaps, though, the right sort of offering could get me away long enough to enjoy a water fight or two.

It's not any item with "coin" in the name, I just went with a Slots Coin and it didn't work. Maybe things with gold or silver work? But some people said certain items didn't, so IDK.

It would be weird to me if "gold" was the only thing that worked, we just had a challenger released where you had to sell something with "gold" in its name to the Pawn Shop and they don't usually like to repeat unlock methods too much with these.
I'm thinking there's more to it, but I'm not sure exactly what.

i bought a bunch of beach stuff first like a fool ;o; pulled out of storage after i saw aline's spoiler and it worked like a charm.

I had a few possible items: Amethyst Butterfly Brooch (Amethyst), Ruby Teardrop Earrings (Ruby), Aquamarine Jeweled Cuff (Aquamarine, Jewel) and Silver Special Coin (Silver); the most likely item being the silver coin. Try it out with silver items!
