you're reading too deep into what i said. i did not say "oh i'm glad there's ruffly things, no one deserves ruffly things because i hate them" (and to be clear I, a woman, DO NOT HATE FEMME CLOTHING, they're just not my preference), i said "i like the things we got. i think they're pretty fancy." i'm not interested in arguing with you, so i'm done here.

People are allowed to not like things. I don't have an issue with that. But telling me you hate the stuff I like and are glad that there wasn't any seems unnecessary.

The problem I have with this is that while Survival was a pleasant surprise in that there actually were pretty blouses and waistcoats, the people who do like historical frou-frou are getting shut out of more and more events that traditionally offered us options; Alegarten has been taken over by vegans and all new wearables for that event will be T-shirts with (usually obnoxious) slogans, and if Masq is taken over by ravers and industrial goths, that leaves us with Freyalise and the attendant frustrations and sometimes Survival but not always.

Sorry but I was not trying to gloating here. What I wrote was more to myself than to others, and I meant that I loved so much the high offer of rave items this year, and that does not mean I dont like/despise the slim& richy gloves and the very worked hairs for the waltz - although I'm very selective in that part, this year's waltz items surprised me a lot. As much as it doesnt look like I know what it's like to be on the other side and I'm not trying to ''diminish'' gown clothes or anything related because I like it too. Also I understand what you said but it ins't the case.

'fancy' is defined as elaborate, designed to impress. these wearables are 'fancy' because they alter the base, which is unusual and exciting for some people (but not you, it seems). i'm sorry you are not happy with this year's offerings, but as someone who does not like froufrou ruffles, this has been a fantastic and very fancy masquerade.

I think you're missing the point. Why is 'queen' pink and lord 'blue' especially when those are in my opinion essentially unisex items? This masquerade is hugely disappointing from a high femme standpoint.

Oh. My major problem with calling those items "fancy" is that they're NOT. The admiral gloves and boots and the plague doctor capes are unembellished and would fit equally well into either a rave or a historical outfit. Everything that we got that was even remotely "fancy" is still raveable. There is nothing that is unabashedly frilly and fancy and courtly in this year's items except for the corsets (which are in NEON colours) and the boots that are obviously left over from last year's items.

The plague doctor outfit is closest but it's stark and unembellished and the skirt is not appropriate for a traditional feminine ball costume. I will use those skirts for my main OC's everyday outfits because I really do appreciate getting skirts that aren't butt-short and/or longer than the avatar's body with a train, but why are these the only skirts on offer for a formal ball?

I almost liked your comment until I saw the big heart and realised that you were gloating that this year's event catered entirely to ravers and not at all to waltzers. I promise wouldn't be cheering if I were thrilled by great piles of non-neon ruffles and lace, but you weren't getting any rave stuff at all. This event has traditionally catered to two aesthetics and the fact that fans of one of them are disappointed is a bug, not a feature.

I hope they release a lot of achievements for lounge items because my stupid vault removed ALL of the lounge trinkets I had stashed instead of the 50 I wanted to get something for a friend. I clicked the link in the lounge without realizing the vault had done that. So now I'm stuck with tons of tokens for a shop I don't want to buy anything in and apparently there's no way to get them back. Grrr. I wish there was a warning when the vault is going to take out all the items.
