I just logged back into Subeta today after more than half a year of being inactive. I scroll and immediately see this new shop keeper; the natural hair on a black person and vitiligo representation makes me remember why I love Subeta. Happy to be back.

So sweet! I just rescued two rats from the humane society a few days ago and I am happy to see some love for rats! The art is gorgeous too! (The rats' names are Remy and Emile :3)

RRAAATTSSSSSSSSSS Ahhhhhhh I love ratties so much! (I have 7 myself) I can't wait to get all of these items! Rats are honestly one of my favorite creatures ever! ;v;

Also, seconding the need for wearables that are hoodies with rats snuggled in. That's mine's favorite place to be!

has super good advice for anyone thinking about getting ratties and I agree with it all except one thing: absolutely DO get them even though they break your heart a little bit <3 they are so worth the trouble. They're such amazing little souls who deserve loving homes. Even if they have short lifespans, that's a normal lifespan to them, and they will love you and be grateful for all of it! It makes me so happy to see other rat fanatics on Subeta and the items are so cute omg :') yayayay rat stuff

As a friendly reminder, please look into how to care for the little friends, if you do decide to get any of them. For instance, rats need to live in at least pairs or they will be lonely, they need lots of space, like these cages, they should really eat lab blocks, not seeds, they have to have stuff to chew, etc. They couldn't live good lives in mouse or gerbil cage. Rats get to be huge; my boys were each like a foot long! But, I've found rats to be a lot better pets than the other two; they're a lot more social and not afraid all of the time. ha. They like to be pet and held and will choose to hang out with you when you let them out, whereas the other two are pretty skittish.
