Snowapult has been limited to Dec only in several years. Also the Snowball achievement (excluding the retired ones tied to the one time team event) is in the Lumi category. It really wasn't that serious a comment, though. Just a brief joke/aside. I don't associate snowballs with Christmas IRL, just on Subeta.

I remember joining the site during Survival and having snow balls tossed my way, even if it starts during Lumi. After all, Lumi is a Winter Solstice thing--it's Autumn until it's not, hence Fall starting in the middle of September.

I just...eh. I'm Jewish, but until I moved to California where we don't have any snow, I played in the snow like everyone else. I associate snow with winter. Not Christmas or Hanukkah, which sometimes happens closer to Thanksgiving than Christmas, but mostly before the snow except when I lived in Northern Ohio (Kent and Bowling Green), where snow during the Halloween season was a thing that sometimes happened.

Snowballs are for Lumi. Lumi is Subeta's Christmas equivalent (yes I know it's not actually Christmas even though it's totally actually Christmas). Luminaire Creep isn't a thing (yet) so using that term wouldn't really have worked.

I'm not really seeing what snowballs have to do with Christmas, other that in the Northern Hemisphere they both happen in the winter?

I thought it would be about throwing as in making ceramic cups from the news notification oops. Possibly because we just started throwing in class today. ;P
