I just changed mine to a Spectrum Dragarth. I just couldn't handle looking at the horns anymore.

so I twas able to snag Vaas Montenegro. from the Adoption and he looks most fabulous with the revamp .... He twas a Common Tigrean beforehand soes twas able to change him quickly without the lovely Merana's help. I believe the horns toward the front make him more prominent than the previous version, but then I really like the work that Turokai recently shared as well she shrugs ....

either way, Thank You Subeta for the revamp <3 as Vaas tis very appreciative of his new look plus his new home.

I like the pose of the old one and the horns of old-- but I like the build, face and fins? I guess of the new. So mix em and Im good lol

I attempted to alter the things that bothered me about this revamp.
The posture looked unbalanced, more falling over than stalking, so I pulled the right leg in closer to the body. I also changed the horn shape to show the forehead skull (Hopefully without hiding too much of those gorgeous fins), and added indications of claw sheaths on the paws with retracted claws. Just my ideas, but if anyone likes it enough for an overlay, I can clean it up some.

I came here to look for the old version, to try and place exactly why I dislike this revamp.... .... but I stayed to post once I noticed the, uh... cough... sort of... Freudian growth on its shoulder.....

The other comments really summed up my shared criticism quite well (awkward claw-bared arm posture, unappealingly-rendered horn angle, etc.), but didn't see anyone else bring this up, so aaahhh..... If you guys are going to go in and revamp it again, you miiiight want to consider removing that... risque.... barnacle..... sweats

Agreeing that the horns on the old one were nicer. And while the explanation on how cats' claws worked was helpful, the right paw doesn't look like it's engaged enough to balance out the claws being out... it looks like an awkward step to me. Everything else is nice, but my eyes keep going to those two spots.

It's such a fantastic revamp that it makes me sad that I don't like it.... the horns ruin it for me. I preferred the placement and shape of the old ones better. Oh well. I guess I'll wait for a Hydrus Blob and change Xaiden into one of those instead. xD

The art is so much better on this one. I like how powerful it looks. But I do wish the artist would have kept the the old position of the horns. Other than that: Hydrus Tigrean was pretty much my first pet, and it's gonna take some getting used to this new look...

i love the tiny details with the hydrus pets. i don't have anyone that'd fit this guy, but i kind of wish i did... the horns remind me of daemon's horns with the forward curl, and i don't know why, but i love the tail.

I like everything except the horns. A lot of other people in here are saying the horns look weird too and I think I've pinned down why. It's not that they're ram horns on a feline; almost all Hydrus pets have horns, most of them are based on animal species that don't have horns, and several of them have ram horns and look fine. But on the other Hydrus pets with ram horns, the horns are attached near or behind the ears and often curl around the ears (see the Feli, Hipottu, or Kumos for some examples). Other Hydrus pets with horns attached more down on the forehead/in front of the ears like the new Tigrean tend to have relatively straight horns or horns that curve back (see the Celinox, Montre, Kanis, and Pherret for some examples). If you look at all the Hydrus pets on the site, this Tigrean is the only one with tightly curled ram horns growing out of the forehead.

Love the old version, love the new version possibly a bit more, love the horns, love the detail of extended claws on the raised paw. Kudos to the artist, i don't tend to like revamps and this one is gorgeous.

Man, I want to love the new design, it really is cool! It looks so fierce and ready to attack... But I can't help but miss my dangerous, ethereal baby. Body coiled and waiting, lines sleek and smooth. He's so...buff? bulky? now. All muscle-y power and none of the grace I wanted from the old version from the moment I saw it.

It's a really cool, awesome design, but I think it just might not be for me.

The new revamp looks beautiful (: I have to admit I am not much of a fan with the horns either, but that's just me. Some people like them and some dislike them. However I read a comment saying it looked fat? I do not see that whatsoever, it doesn't look fat at all, if anything it reminds me of a powerful lion or some kind of muscular feline that's about ready to tear somebody apart XD. But I honestly laughed at the fat comment. This beautiful new revamp doesn't look fat at all (:

I love the revamp. I love the body, the stripes and especially the face. He looks fierce; however, I'm not a fan of the horns. They look... fake. I also don't like the position. They kind of resemble spiral ram horns...

Wow! Such an amazing revamp! Much more appealing! I don't mind the forward pointed horns, there's a lot more intimidation to it and how it links with its skull marking is pretty well done. The tail is pretty amazing too.
