a lot of the older items are level 1. You can also just have a bunch alchemy tokens in your inventory and create random stuff. This way you don't have to worry about your level. Just put on a zombie skin, go see zosi and click any token. You'll get a random item at your level or less and start getting points toward your next level.

Hey! If you hover over the items to see their descriptions, around the bottom of that description you should also see a line that tells you the alchemy level you need to be in order to make the items. You must have all of the right ingredients and be at least that level in order to make the items. Hope this helps! :)
