Panzer Hydras!

Hey, ball-goers! This party is in full swing but the real party hasn’t really begun yet. You know what I’m talking about. It’s Panzer Hydra time!

The Panzer Hydra in all of its forms will be available until the end of the holiday (that’s April 8th to you guys), and we’re back this year with a new loot item for each form! Remember, to battle this thing you’ll start off against the single-headed version, and if you defeat it ten times you’ll earn yourself an achievement and a medal that you’ll use to unlock the three-headed version. Defeat that one ten times to get the medal to unlock the next, and keep doing that all the way up to the final eight-headed Panzer Hydra!

Note: If you unlocked the Panzer Hydras last year, you will not get the achievements/medals again.

For those of you who really loved the medals that disappeared when used, there are now replicas to be found in the Millionaire Center thanks to a little sponsorship by the dragon slayer himself.

Does it take a while for the event to appear? I beat the first opponent 20 times and I received nothing..

Did the achievement event pop up on your sidebar? I would send in a ticket so staff can check into it.

To my knowledge I was not able to defeat the Seven-Headed Hydra last year and just got in my ten wins this year and no Gold Panzer Hydra Medal.

The Panzer Hydra Lapel Pin is the 5th win loot from the Eight-Headed Panzer Hydra. After beating the Seven-Headed Hydra ten times, you should have completed the achievement and received a Gold Panzer Hydra Medal in your inventory.

If you already completed the achievement during last year's Masquerade and didn't unlock the Eight-Headed Panzer Hydra, I would do an account search for the Gold Panzer Hydra Medal to see if you possibly sold it.

So we can't advance? I defeated the highest one in my list 10 times but didn't get the next one. Darn, I was hoping to fight some tougher ones. New loot is nice.

Im sorry to sound daft, I unlocked up to the 5 headed hydra last year, I knew I couldnt win the 7? headed one so I sold my medal, [I think!] does that mean Im unable to go on this year and unlock the harder ones? Im so mad at myself! was it even saleable?

Did you check to see if you got the achievement/the item that comes with the achievement? The next challenger doesn't just automatically unlock. :)

Ok. I was thinking there were more hydras to unlock that weren't part of the five already on my screen, but from what you're saying, it sounds like I already unlocked them last year. Sorry- I'm on a medication for multiple sclerosis, and it kind of makes my thinking a little foggy sometimes. Thank you! :)

yeah dude, once you unlock a hydra any of your pets can fight it. You just need to fight them during Masquerade, because they'll be disabled after. :)

I do not recall from last year - can I still fight the previous version after I unlock the next one? Like to use my other pets?

We added new loot to them and you can always rack up the EXP! You just won’t get the achievements again, those aren’t something we reset. We generally reset challenger wins/losses for holidays, like these hydras, not the actual achievements. :)

Yep, if you unlocked them previous years you're good! It's like that with a lot of our holiday secret based challengers. If you unlocked them previously, when they come back you automatically have them (think like the jollin from Fireside). GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FIGHT. <3

I just checked and I can move on.. Will let you know the outcome. I thought we needed another medal to unlock but I guess if it was done in previous year it still works. Chalk up another senior moment for me. Thank you for the help..

I probably did, with some of my pets. I doubt all of them at the time (or even now) could beat each hydra, but I'm sure the higher tier pets did. I was thinking with the reset though we would need to battle them all again. So it looks like that's not the case?

Nah, nothing was reset except the number of wins in your current record. If you beat them and got the achievements/unlocked the others last year, then they'll still be unlocked this year for you to battle again.
