It didn't take long for the Hustler to reach the SAI. As he approached the silver doors, he was greeted by the head of the SAI himself, Jack Cardale.
Upon the Hustler's arrival, Jack immediately asked the Hustler to reveal the secrets he knows about Subetas current dilemma.
The Hustler cleared his throat and began to speak, "Well, a millennium ago, a monster terrorized Subeta, leaving death in its wake. This monster was said to be made of metal and rock and took on the form of an armored dragon. Legend has it that it originated from Subeta's core. When he awoke from his slumber, he destroyed the area that is today's Centropolis, crushed the temples of the Sacred Lands, and even challenged Shinwa.
The monster spoke to her in Mortaic, which is Subeta's language of the dead. Basically, he said, "All above will be sent below." Shinwa, having had enough of the monster and his threats, crushed him in battle and sent him into a deep slumber. He still resides in Subeta's core, to this very day... I believe he has awoken, since the spell was only supposed to last 1,000 years. The tremors you have been feeling, the rise of the ocean levels... it's the monster..."
Jack erupted in anger, and showed the Hustler a declaration of arrest.
"You scammed the population of Subeta... by conning our citizens out of their cash, so you can come tell me this fairy tale? THERE IS NO ANCIENT LANGUAGE, THERE IS NO MONSTER IN SUBETA'S CORE! The SAI would have known about it! There is no way a monster can survive in Subeta's core!"
The Hustler turned away, shaking his head. "You can't arrest me, I told you what I knew, and I believe it. It's not my fault you refuse to accept what I have given you... maybe you should go find Blake Steele. Anyway, I'll be watching Subeta's demise from Atebus, all because of your incompetence as Subeta's leader."
Seconds later, the Hustler was gone.
Jack made his way to Shadowglen, the location of Steele Fortress. Jack was surprised to see what awaited him.
"Greetings, Jack" proclaimed Blake Steele as he waved. Jacks eyes were immediately drawn to the person beside him, the Computer Geek. "Funny, we were speaking about you... I called the Computer Geek here due to the tremors... don't they seem rather odd to you?"
"Of course they do," Jack said. "Because according to the Hustler, there's a monster, living in the core," Jack added with a laugh.
"What's so funny?" Blake asked. "It's a good theory. One of many we've discussed. With this probe we have in mind, we can find out once and for all which theory is correct, and what we can do to save Subeta."
"Probe? We are NOT shoving some hunk of metal into Subeta!" Jack replied.
"Just because you don't believe it, doesn't mean it's not true!" Blake said. "Now, I'll pay for some of the funding, if you get Subeta to help the Computer Geek with the remaining components. It shouldn't be too hard for them. And if there's nothing in the core, I'll take responsibilty for everything... Heck, you can even arrest me. Would you like that, arrest-happy Mr. Cardale?"
"Just do it," the Computer Geek finally said. "If we find something... Subeta will be in your debt."
Can you help the Computer Geek obtain the remaining components for the probe? Has the Hustler managed to scam the population again, or is there some truth to his seemingly insane ramblings?
Well. Yah. We're done. Yay.
