The Fairies are still going out by random event, which do count towards the Fairy Catcher! achievement.
Note: The fairies will be switch again on the 22nd for how they’ll go out, so get them from quests while you can! :)
Cinthia’s gotten into the Luminaire spirit and her quests will now have the chance to give out old luminaire items until the end of the holiday!
I did Cursed and Library yesterday and I was thinking omg I have the worst luck lol I didn't get a single Lumi item just a bunch of fairies..... ahem.
I have all the ones I need for the release achievement in my vault and they've been there for like 3 years, I just can't force my self to do it cause it's SO freaking boring :V

THere’s not going to be another use (have already said this!) And no, there’s not going to be anything new for the achievements. :) I was toying with the idea with another tier but we’re not going to go ahead with it. already said it, but no there won’t be another use for them :p who knows what next week will bring
to all the people complaining about floating items, you can hide them
i really hope we get another way to get them for the finding achievement (especially if there are going to be more tiers) :c i haven't seen a single RE one all day

But there could be more tiers for the catch a fairy achievement (for finding them, not releasing them): "I'll likely add a tier or two when I add some lovely holiday achievements." -
I don't think they have anything else planned with the fairies though other than the achievements. has consistently said this is just to get more out there for the people who need the achievements, since it was mentioned early in the month how rare the REs seemed to be. Although even the REs seem to be more common now than they were at first.
I only need the Snow Faerie, I've the others :( Hope to get one on quests...
I would really love to confirm these things: Will there be new tiers to the fairy achievement? Will they be of any use in the 'near' future?
I want to confirm before giving them to people that still need the achievement. (And our Luminaire theme is very beautiful and soft. It's worth it.)
I liked them floating... By a CHANCE on 2 quests we will get 20 fairies per day IF we are extremely lucky to get a fairy on every quest... There should be at least a chance on every quest (like 50 or 60%).
What about something else to DO with all of these fairies, please!!!

Thankfully i'm done with catching faeries. i only need to release 500 or so of them ;) getting them from quests sounds good enough for me, so i guess i'll be working towards the quest achievements i'm missing too, at the same time. win-win?

I suppose. I bought a lot of fairies since they become so cheaper by this point in the year, so I'm still more worried about the other one more since you can't buy your way through it.
The point is there is still another achievement people can work towards (by releasing the fairies they get from quests). They can use these to get crystals for fragging. You'll find out on the 22nd what happens with them :p
Floaters are always kind of annoying... but maybe this will get me off my butt and doing my quests again.

What's the point if the quests don't count towards the Fairy Catcher? That's the one I'm more worried about. Will the change on the 22 count towards that achievement then?

I was getting a lot of crystals until I realized that I had 288 / 1,000 for the achievement. Goodbye free crystals :(
poor little fairies... I do like crystals though. Who knows maybe the Beastie will want some to eat :P

It's just for the achievements, correct! We wanted to help you guys out on getting them by more than just the random event. :) If people already have the achievements, they can just frag them! BASICALLY FREE CRYSTALS.

Yes, the random events counts towards the achievement (that was the original way to get it). :)
