The achievement is actually for burning you! If he burns you 100 times you get a skin for your wardrobe. He will destroy items in your inventory though so make sure you vault all your stuff before you throw a wreathed item in.

Ok replaced my fragged item, got the other stuff I needed. I'm ready now.

You can throw wreathed items back into the fire for achievements. He gets mad when you throw in wreathed items and burns your items or you--I think both of those have achievements. So if you want the achievements, start throwing those items back into the fire. If you don't care about the achievements then you can get rid of the items if you want.

when are quests going to be giving out old Fireside restockables??? There are 5 days left! Well, it'll be 4 soon. That isn't a lot of time and we had loads of time to get old Morostide things. Why didn't we with Fireside??

The old items will be retired for now, but nothing is every really 100% retired. They could be brought back again in the future at some point.

And there may or may not be any new items in the shop right away, the crystal shop works differently than other shops on the site. Staff members put items in there whenever they feel like it, usually items that have gotten expensive and have been requested to be brought back. Or old retired items that they decide to include in achievements, they'll bring back so more people can get them again.
