Note: You may have noticed there being a slight delay of items moving in or out of your vault. This is not a glitch, but a fix for the time being. The enormous size of vaults has been a major contributor to the lag over the last few days. We've reduced the length of this new cache and will give you updates regarding how this will work as we go forward. This should make Morostide more enjoyable for the time being. :)

I hope there won't be a limit on vaults, I moved all my stuff there because of the gallery limit. And I'm a hoarder so I can't just get rid of my babies :(

Vault search doesn't seem to be working any more. I search for one thing, it finds it, and then if I search for another thing then it comes back with the first thing again.

Thanks for the book. I wish the update about the vault was announced before I put so much of what I need in there but... shrugs it's a small price to pay in order to get the site moving. I'll wait patiently for new updates about it.

ugh, don't remind me! I'm constantly seeing big spiders around my house, including having two on my landing at 3am the other night :D I'm such an expert at catching them now hehehe. you really should never kill an innocent spider.

Oooooo so thats why when I was moving junk around (categorising) in my vault this morning the stuff would stay in the "none" catagory for a lil bit. Im slow sometimes :)

Yup :) It's searching through all of those items, and to get into the weeds a little bit there are a few things it needs to do.

user_vaults holds your vault items (and what category) they are in, and there is a master "item" database that holds all of the item information (item, name, price, rarity, etc). When you search your vault it has to merge those two tables and then search through all of your items for the thing you're looking for. It's a lot for a poor database :(

After the galleries and shops got limits, I think a lot of people moved items to their vaults because those don't have a limit. My vault is rather small, but I imagine there are some people out there with huge vaults, and having to load all of that info every time they visit their vault I could see that causing a lot of strain on the site. Especially during events like this where lots more people are online and doing things.

the bigger the vault the bigger the lag? 10 minutes to properly search for something after searching for a different thing is where I'm at right now and my vault is too big I know. 145 pages of items

I thought a lot of the lag with unlimited shops was caused by those shops being viewable to other users, was moving things into the vaults not really that helpful in the end?

The gallery holds 7.5k items (more for GAs). The limit of shops and galleries combined is 4 (6 for GAs) so you can create and use those too.

Well, having a moving limit of like 5000 items per with a delay use of 10 seconds try should help a lot with lack. It'd much better than having jusy [x] (single) [all] (mass lack)

Unlimited shops wouldn't fix the problem, it would just move the cause of the lag to somewhere else.

5 minutes is better than the ~15 or so minutes it was before.

this "fix" is making it really difficult for me to move things from folders to folders inside my vault. :/ I don't have a big vault either, it's not like my wardrobe...
