After further adjustments to my One True Zapper, the Experiment has received a bit of gruesome makeover and is ready for improved subservience on your part. I'm pretty sure it can turn you to stone with a displeased look, so you should probably do what it says.
These revamps always show drastic improvement on the artwork's shading and detail. I agree with the comments that the new face is dog-like (or perhaps dog x ewok x evil teddy) and that the previous muted/grey-toned colors worked best. I also understand people's disappointment over the worms, although I adore the cute little snake faces! Personally change-wise I vote for a tweaking of the colors and a bit less contrast. I really do love the new level of detail though! c: P.S. To make the face more cat-like it would need a larger/wider muzzle, a different style of nose and some whiskers.
Woops, I should have gotten a better link to the old one for my comment. I grabbed it off the subeta wiki, and the image on there was updated to the new one since. Glad people have found it otherwise though :D
So I have one of these pets. It's not that the revamp is much different but theres something off. I prefer the old version. I wish the staff would ask us or do a poll, like used to be done, asking for opinions on revamps on pets.
I used to have one of these and I think I'm gonna have to get one again, because this revamp is just great! Definitely an improvement, I think it's pretty perfect!
I like the old one better. Please stop revamping pets 90% of the time I like the old one better... Angelic Antlephore was ruined by a revamp. They used to be my favorite pet now just ugh. And the mane is supposed to be works not snakes. :(

Revamp looks great, but I don't love the fur shading. It makes it look short, maybe? I'm not good at art. XD
I miss the arched eye kind of smirky look the old one had, but all in all, this revamp is darn cool
Hmmm.... I think I honestly prefer the old one because the colours were muted; however, I love the snake tail on the revamp.

Yeh, the comparison at the bottom has the same image side-by-side :V I really like this update tho! I'm a lot less squicked out by snakes than I am worms lmao.
Not sure why a lot of people are miffed about the update. Other than artistic skill improvement, it's largely the same. They changed the dire worms around a bit to look more like snakes, but otherwise, Personally I like the little touch ups and improvements on a lot of the pets lately. Shows how both the artist and the site have grown!
Oh no, not the dire worms! I was planning on zapping one of my guys into this and now I'm all conflicted.
I liked the dire worms being the roundy guys without mouths, not happy snakes. :( They're absolutely adorable snakes and all, but they're not the worms.
It also kind of looks more like a dog face, to me, now, instead of a lion with a mane made of corrupted slimeys, but I care a hell of a lot more about those worms. Oh well.
Here is a really bad copy of the old one & new one, because the previous post is showing me the same, new guy for some reason. It's a lot newer now. [sub]but the worms...[/sub] Hope someone else has a better copy. :p

That is one sexy beast! I now wish I hadn't changed my sweet Gashpon to Spectrum Archan now! The face detail and the colors are magnificent!!
Strange. I can see it fine on chrome, however I recall having a similar issue on my Chromebook on a different site.
And no I can definitely see it. I'm just saying the pose hasn't changed or anything dramatic like that. Hope you can find a fix

actually, the difference is very very blatant/obvious imo! i can see it just fine on my iPhone (perhaps the comparison down below does the same thing to you that it's doing to me, it's... the same image lol nothing to compare so if you think it's similar, then i bet you have the same issue as me without knowing) i have no idea why even after clearning cache, logging/out/in rebooting computer even, i still don't see the new one with Chrome (haaaalp ) and it's not a site-cache issue either otherwise noone else would see it, no? and i wouldn't see it on my cellular either so confused

I like this one! An update for this experiment was badly needed. I kind of like the more snake-like appearance of the Dire Worms, but on the other hand... They are supposed to be Dire Worms, so I'm a tiny bit torn. Artistic license, or mutated dire worms? Only Euclid knows.
Shading throws me off a bit but the overall update is not bad.
