lmao well i guess here's hoping... i really struggled to keep my npc's info confined to the 1,000 character limit! there were so many more things i wanted to say about them! i hope i got enough across that their amazingness will be appreciable...

that could have been cool, make the NPC three brothers (or sisters) with like an accessory or hair style change for each and have them all be the shopkeepers since (generic shopkeeper ) lost the rotation schedule for this week :D
I remembered to make one last minute, but it was generic shop keeper . Come to think of it, I should have used that as the character concept: it was in fact a series of about 10 rotating interchangeable NPCs all selling the same stock just like in an RPG. Somehow, I don't think that was the character niche the staff was looking to fill though.

I managed my submission one day early.... because I was sick before that and had the dates wrong! I would have worked on her more!!! I hope they show us all the submissions not just the top ones, I kindda wanna see what everyone dreamed up! That's half the fun IMO.

I did my submission on paint, and it was so bad, microsoft discontinued paint.
For the people who entered the shopkeeper contest and doubt themselves. Don't. Seriously, I was residing in the middle of nowhere and I drew on the back of a stocking carton box with my little nephew's kiddie felt-pens. Y'all are good. :D
Oh gosh I totally forgot about the beanbag design, darn it! I had a story and everything, just needed to draw it. All the fails.
All aboard the NPC entry self-doubt train. On some level, I am pleased with what I've produced, but on another, much greater level, I know that the line art was wonky, the shading laughable, and the overall concept is just boring. Not a chance.
I doubt my design will make it to voting, but you never know
happy to myself that i managed to get mine in time. however my chances of the bobbleheads are gone again.....
At the end of the day, they are going to redesign the winner, our pitches are just a blueprint on what to go for if it wins. So, Its a 50/50 on character and story I would say?
Whenever I see others' sketches I get insta-hearteyes. I need to stop being hard on myself, ahaha I am hoping my attempts at being funny help my entry out ! I tried to make mine a rounded, and funny, character.
- Mine has no shading either, and just a quick photoshop blotch of colour on it! (If it wins it'll get redrawn anyway right?) It's the thought that counts, and way over the top fits subeta nicely, so I'm sure it's fine. Get a laugh out of the staff at the very least! ;)
Honestly, I should have spent more time on mine. It's basically a glorified sketch with zero shading, ahaha And a completely over-the-top idea But thank you and good luck to you !

I was quite proud of my idea...I really liked the character info I thought up. I can't draw though, so the art is blah...I did it on paint. Even if he did get picked as a top five, I have a feeling I wouldn't stand a chance...
