Peka Park Food Fest!

Peka Park Food Fest has rolled in with the summer sun and is ready to feed you up good!

- Visit Peka Park all week (until 11:59PM on July 2nd) to enjoy both old and new food truck favorites (with a few secret menu items along the way).
- Take part in the community cake mix where you never know what might come out of the batter, it surely couldn’t be an actual cake!
- Lastly, we have the entries up for the Great Subetan Bake-Off! Look through the designs and vote for what you want to see come out on top!

We’re as hungry as an archan now, how about you?

-finishes buying all the peka foods I need for my pet to eat (eventually) & collapses-

I really really like the food truck festival idea (also it makes me very hungry). I have a couple suggestions for next time that I'll eventually post on the actual suggestions thread probably one day:

make it so the WL box appears around the items when you click on them - it was a pain in the butt to go back and forth through my wishlist on one tab and the trucks on another trying to make sure I didn't double-purchase things (my memory is crap, I know I'm not alone)
let us all get the bonus items from the trucks again - I don't think it would damage the value/market too much (I sold mine off so cheaply the first time around, back before I was feeding my pet)

The menu has three sections, but each section is made up of different items. The 'Classic' is different from the 'Mozzarella' and etc.

I'm definitely all for achievements for eating, wearing, and reading. I too thought that if they wanted to do a multi tier cake batter achievement that they should've released it already. But that being said, they might've still been counting our donations. Just give us an achievement for participation and not one for donating 1k or something terrible.

and Ack same, did a calculation and must've thrown 500-600 items in there in the first two hours (spent 600k spamming user shops out of 1k food items). If they do add an achievement regarding the giant bowl, I hope it's along the lines of the quest week contribution requirement x').

I gathered that the achievements would be more for having the clothes in your wardrobe, or for feeding the food truck foods to your pet or something. If there were going to be achievements for throwing things into the bowl, it would have made more sense to release those at the start. Since I've already gotten what I need from the food bowl, I'm not inclined to be throwing more things in there and adding achievements for it now would be dumb IMO.

Yeaahh... Can I put in my vote to not have achievements to throw things into the cake mix? It's a tedious task that involves scouring the already inflated shops for stocks of items, only to manually have to add them one by one. Extremely boring. I've already thrown in probably about 100, and don't really want to do more. :/

Oh I used the Eddie Bell Sweet Tooth Barrettes and it worked - maybe it has to be a head layer wearable Eddie Bell item, since others had luck with the Meringue

A few possible rule benders/breakers still slipped through, but overall it looks like staff pruned quite well this time (compared to say, Oatmeal). I'm sure it helped that there were probably a lot fewer entries, but still, nice work.

Hey there, I'm having an issue with getting the secret menu item from Sweet Stuffed?

So I've managed to get all the other secret menu items except for the one from Sweet Stuffed - I'm wearing an Eddie Bell Sophistikiwi Shirt (which is from one of the oldest Eddie Bell collections I think?) but I'm not getting a link at the bottom. Anyone else having an issue like this? Do we know which Eddie Bell items do/don't work?

Frosting pets sound like they would be a recolor of candy Sweetheart, to me. :d Like, a soft, yellow/brown buttercream color, instead of pink. I like it.

The food truck menus are so cute. I love it.

That huge cake we're making is going to be so gross. I just put in like 50 Capsicum Dips.

You have to scroll down a little and there should be a link under the menu that says something like "I see you're wearing a Hipottu item" or something. It doesn't show up ON the menu.
