and Vesna = spring in russian. Written весна with kyrillic alphabet. I have always thought that Vesnali is just twisted form of russian word for spring that someone came up when they couldn't think of better name for Subetan spring holiday. I have always loved that name anyway. I just thought you might be interested in knowing where the name very likely came from.
This makes way more sense to me, and I wish it was a permanent change. It was always kind of weird celebrating Vesnali with a foot of snow outside! Now I'll be able to celebrate a Spring holiday when it's actually Spring! (well, if I have time between all the planting)
As long as this does not effect the sacred ELWOOD DAY then all is well. Where WOOD we be without him?

Oh, and another thing, , subeta was taking up insane amounts of my CPU (100%) at all times before and now it's at 27%. Not sure what changed but I'm not complaining! Thanks for the help <3

I've been experiencing it for a few days, it's slowly getting better but still very annoying because things are loading agonizingly slowly when I try to do quests. My computer doesn't tend to load things that slow, and it only happens when I do quests. It takes 10-15 seconds to load the shop search tabs when it used to take five. I hope this is enough information! I'm not trying to whine, I'm just trying to figure this out. Then again, I've been having a lot of issues lately with other things, I'm wondering if it might be related to the fact that I have windows eight, which is by far the worst thing ever created. (aside from 10, of course). Even so, the only things to load slowly are on subeta. So it's hard to say.
I need more information! Like have you been experience lag all day, just hte past hour, etc. I've been on pretty much all day (minus the past hour when I was making dinner) and haven't experience lag. If you experienced it recently, it might because the servers scale down when less users are online.
Also, thank you so much! I know I already said it but this is wonderful! I'm also super pumped for Vesnali because I went through and added everything I liked to my wishlist and now it's packed with things :)
Are you guys still working on the lag, or do you consider it to be fixed? I'm still having major issues, especially while questing, so I want to know if it's still a site-wide thing or if it's somehow my computer, but only happening on subeta.

Even though the first crocus is attempting to push through the mud at the edge of a snowbank in my driveway. It honestly won't feel like Spring until June here. So this is great in my opinion.
Lol I know it technically does but weather wise and usually vacation tends to start in May. Either way this site is very good about being accommodating to site errors, even those out of their hands, and that's appreciated, I hope you all know :)

I always thought this was how it should be, too. Have Vesnali before Masquerade, because May is mostly associated with Summer because its a lot warmer and vacations start for a lot of people. It's weird to me that Vesnali will be in May this year, but I get why. Just weird. I think Masquerade would have been a better fit for May because dancing=celebration and it could've been a nice way to celebrate the start of Summer, end of Spring. As Vesnali is perfectly for the start of Spring. But I think Masquerade is the favored Holiday (though I personally love Vesnali more!), so its not too surprising that this works more for people XD
May is still spring. ;) And it isn't meant to be a easter holiday so it's fine if we move it away from that

This is a great thing to do, please keep this change permanently.
I always thought that the Zombie event, Masquerade event, and Vesnali event were all too close together, however I love them all. I assume it's a huge strain on artists though to do so many new items for the site, and for the site itself to take so much strain. What I'd honestly suggest, is switching the Masquerade with Vesnali, and letting the Masquerade be a little later in the year? That way, Vesnali still happens around spring/easter, and each event has more room to breathe.
This is great! I generally Think subetas holidays are very heavily gathered at either mid spring or late fall/winter, with a lot of nothing in between. So instead of creating new holidays I would also be in favor of spreading them a little more out like this. Even though this probably is a one time occurence!
Even better idea: let's push back Vesnali to mid-to-late May. Birthday present to me, yes/yes? xD

Vesnali is my favorite holiday, so I've been super excited that it was nearing. But at the same time... More dancing. I'm torn. At the same time, my birthdays at the end of April, so I kind of feel like having Vesnali shortly there after is like a belated birthday gift, which is kind of awesome. Guh.
