We’ve decreased the time between kisses for the remainder of the event!

Just a general reminder for what will be ending at 11:59pm on February 28th:

The Zombie Den is open year round, so if you haven’t bought all the items you need yet don’t worry! You can also buy from L’Amor year round if you have enough candy hearts stashed away.

The Survival Celebration Forums will remain opened until 11:59pm on March 2nd.

A few friends that I've talked with outside of Subeta mentioned their strains seemingly not progressing at all, and I am similarly wondering if mine is frozen on Stage 7... Is it possible that the intermittent downtime/Amazon server stuff is interfering with the viruses? I was really hoping to sneak one more in today but still no Stage 8 notice!

If I pay for the virus before time is up will I get it eventually? It's been days and still haven't been infected with the virus I wanted. The VIP section says I'm waiting to be paired with a specialist.

I sure wish the virus stages had been sped up at least a little. I expected I could get another with 14 hour stages but have ended up with at least two stages in the 16 hour or more range. So odd and frustrating since both my other virus' this year were in the 14 hour per stage range.

Hmm... I'll definitely try to get some more kissing in before tomorrow night. I wonder do the oldest strains/viruses take longer to contract when you sign up though? I signed up for one that was one of the 1mil ones what feels like a week ago and still no signs of infection. I was hoping to contract at least one virus this year but maybe going back so far was too ambitious. x-x;;

I'm just happily watching my 2nd strain develop, but can't believe that this wonderful event is almost over. Ah, seems like it just started.

Do the infections seem to be taking longer to progress this year? I know last year I was able to get two skins, because the first was finished before the end of the event - but I suspect that my infection is going to go past the end time of the event, which is pretty disappointing. I wish that we could remove the skins immediately once they've progressed enough to show up in your wardrobe rather than having to wait for an event notification.

Thanks for the time decrease! I got the two new strains I wanted this year so I'm happy...but I still need more hearts and flowers for treasures and achievements. Party hard everyone!

I'm with everyone else in wishful thinking that the strains would decrease in time to mature XD I thought a buff in which people could get in RE's that would allow for a speed up in time for the strains would be cool, that way not everyone would get it but it would be a fun perk or whatever. That or having an item maybe that people could get via TS restock or millionaire center, etc, that could help speed the time up.. But I get its supposed to be hard, but still kind of sucks when the strains feel like they're taking forever this year Lol ;)

Yes, I got the event 2 days ago! When I click Remove Skin it removes it, but when I leave the wardrobe it's still on my HA?

have you gotten the event saying you can remove your skin? If not, you have to wait for that. Then you can go to wardrobe -> skins -> remove skin.

I think the FAQ says you can only unlock the skins from them during survival.

that was it! If we do more than one wave, we make sure to include that in the first post so people can plan their spending! We do still have some general survival-y things to release tho :)

I'm bitter about old infections takes taking like 3 days without bites and I wasn't even going for skins this year (I'll be getting vials next year though).

I expect my current strain to be off by that much when it ends 😛 I'm just butthurt because I really wanted a fourth strain for the first time in one Survival, but there is always next year, I suppose.

That's true. My roommate sent a text when Survival started at about 6:30pm and I couldn't access the forums until at about... 11pm? I don't expect five hours to make much of a difference though.

While biting was broken, you could still sign up and get infected at the VIP. Biting just speeds up the process, so while yeah it's a nice feature, you could've still gotten to work on your first strain without it. I totally get your point though on the forum issue where they weren't loading for people, because that was truly frustrating (for us staff as NPCs and you guys just tryin' to get your kisses and stuff in).

I think it's also fair to point out that biting wasn't working for the first few hours, then people with their virus skins on couldn't access the forums for a few more hours after that. I had to keep taking my skins off just to see who needed bites. Survival had a rough start this year 😛

Still thought this year's was too short, at 12 days, when last year I thought I saw a trend of most seasonal events being the last two weeks of the month they fell on. So, I figured it was "the last two weeks of February", and was ultimately confused when it didn't start on the 14th like I expected.

It was possibly extended due to down time- not sure. I didn't read through the month's news posts too closely. (That being said, zombie strains still progressed through down time, and the dedicated user earned 4 infections with the additional days.)

I just wanted to post since a lot of people have been wondering over the course of the event (I found the past times about a week ago.) I know we're not owed any length of time, and the Subetapedia does clearly state end-of-Feb. I guess users are just spoiled in general, as many were hoping for strains to get accelerated in the final hours.

We’ve never had a set amount of time for it. You can see on our holiday schedule that it doesn’t give an exact start date (like Elwood day or Alegarten). Like pointed out, it’s started on different days the past few years. :)

I just noticed the kissing time has finally been decreased. I'm glad for that. But I'm still not happy about your shortening of Survival. I thought there was a 14 day rule, or had a set number of days every year. Can't even get a fourth strain, because of this and paired with how slow strains progress.

2015 was extended due to downtime, wasn't it? So it wasn't a full 16 days

(jk going back it was because of a few errors on our part, I for sure thought it was from downtime)
