I've been here over 9 years and I fail to see what you are talking about...The only issues I have ever seen with quality are when it comes to things like eyes, lips, and shoes. I feel there is room for much improvement in those areas, Aside from that I have seen the quality go way up...We've gone from things like and to things like and pets like the nostalgic keeto which was impressive in so many ways that I just can't even.

Just from my perspective, anything can be used for a pet. The majority of my TC items are actually wearables (i'm pretty sure my pet Guap is ONLY wearables). TBH these as items are quirky and adorable and if all my pets weren't so effing depressing, I would probably use it for a TC. And i actually have most of the CS bonus wearables in my gallery because I loved the item art... like I took them out of my wardrobe to put them in my gallery instead. So it's not all about "throw it in the wardrobe call it a day" for everyone because there are definitely people who see all the uses in an item, even if it's a wearable :3

My entire point is that I don't buy things I don't like. I realize I'm an outlier in the types of people who still use this site (most of my friends have long since left it for greener pastures), because I don't care at all about wearables. And Subeta wasn't always so much about the wardrobe. It used to be about pets! Minions! Quirky, entirely unique items! Wonderful art that was far superior to that on Neopets! The wearable art itself is perfectly fine in this case, and I understand why people who're into that would enjoy it. My focus is instead on the item art, and it's increasingly rare for me to see new items/pets/etc on this site and get the old urge to buybuybuy. I used to spend a lot of money (comparative to my income) in the cash shop and haven't in ages now because it's so heavily weighted towards wearables. Other people love wearables and snap them up. I don't, so it gives me less motivation to continue using the site. Which is a disappointment for me, because I used to love it. I was asked in a previous news comment for examples of what I was talking about, and this set popped up with ideal timing. Glad you enjoy these. I do not, so my sp will continue sitting uselessly until something else comes around that I do want. It just doesn't happen that often anymore.

Because I've been on this site for over ten years and am, amazingly, allowed to have my own opinions on it. I've been around for long enough to see how things have changed over time, and to be disappointed with certain aspects. You can be a fan of something without feeling the need to praise every aspect of it. For whatever record's being kept, I thought the new minion was adorable (and very well-drawn) and said as much in its news post.

Prime example of what I was talking about with the art output lately. One item, multiple colorfills in a series, bam some artist is now closer to hitting their quota. The shading and linework makes this feel like older art, and you can barely even see the differences in the items themselves, so the focus is mainly on the wearables, which holds little interest for me on this site.
