I think previous years we would get the gifts kind of later on but I like this way much better, especially since we can ultimately decide when to open. It sucks for people who thought they had extra time, but damn y'all are some procrastinators. :P

This is pretty awesome tbh. I work in the morning for a few hours and then go to my family so I wouldn't be able to get back on until tonight. Definitely a great idea. Gives people the choice to open as early or late as they want.

I do not understand those who complain It said 25th so I thought it was ckear that gifting would end at midnight (okay I am not complainng since I am 6 hours ahaead and had done my stuffing)
But I mean - 25th of december and I always think it's subeta time - since there are a lot of time zones. Mind... would you want the european trees to be closing at 6 p.m. because it's midnight for us then?

Dang man! That went crazy well you guys outdid yourselves. Sure I was bummed about not being able to gift the last few people I had. But being able to open my stuff before bed is way better than my little bit of bleh about having to use the gift center for the resr xD

Apologies to all my friends who didn't get any gifts under their trees. I'm a terrible procrastinator and I thought I had until noon on the 25th. LOL or at least several hours from now to add gifts under your trees. I didn't forget you! Guess I'll be heading to the gift center!

i was surprised when i saw gifting close at midnight (since i don't think that's been a thing in past years??? i dont remember too well), and i'm extra surprised to see trees open so early!! not a bad thing tho!! i was super excited to see under my tree that i couldn't wait til morning to look under there. :P
i snuck a few tree gifts in under the wire but i'm glad to see the trees opened so promptly, and without any issue! i had no idea who gifted me, so the earlier i get to do return gift boxes the better, lmao.

Yeah, Grace made sure that it’s all set up automatically (so future years trees will open right on the 1st to start giving gifts to people and then gifts open up on the 25th) so we can’t accidentally break anything. People can open them now, tomorrow, or later! There were some people that didn’t open trees up at all last year that can open them this year and get the gifts from last year + this year. It’s really up to the users when they open it :)
to be fair, it’s rare we get something out 100% with nothing breaking. Things don’t usually break fast horrible as the stocking/tree situation last year, buT STILL. There’s always a little something! Luminaire has been mostly perfect for us this year (minus the coal guy popping up WHEN HE WASN’T SUPPOSED TO UGH)

I don't think late gifts really bother people? They don't bother me in the least. Especially since this year the trees opened early unexpectedly so a lot of people will be sending late ones out, if that's any comfort to those who didn't finish gifting <3

Oh my gosh!! A tree opening early and without a hitch? Absolutely fantastic, SubetaTeam! I'm amazed and thankful. - Now I feel bad, warning my friend about how something goes wrong every year. I must've sounded like a huge liar XDDD But totally worth it for this. Thanks a bajillion and have a wonderful xmas to those on the team that celebrate! <3
As for the complaining... Someone will always be unhappy... They let us open presents right at rollover, I thought that was awesome and exciting. If they waited till noon, people would whine about it taking too long or why not do it at rollover, etc. You can still give people gifts, you don't HAVE to use trees!
I imagine the staff would like to be able to spend Christmas Day with their families and friends, everyone deserves their day off.
With players from all over the world it's not possible to cater to everyone's preferences. In NZ and Australia it's currently dinner time on Christmas Day, time to go stuff my face :D

Not funny Team, not funny at all. Advance warning would have been appreciated. When the trees worked well they didn't open until the afternoon. Last year a simple mistake happened, there was no need to go to such extremes this year. If you must set it automatically then noon on Christmas Day Subeta time would have been more appreciated. There are some of us with limited time and planned to finish up tonight. Now you've left us looking like fools. Just not good.
