User Contest: Design Oatmeal a Home!

Winter is coming and poor Oatmeal doesn’t have a shelter of any kind to protect him!

It’s time for another user contest. This time, you’ll be designing a home for poor Oatmeal who’s been caught in the rain one too many times!

You have until 11:59pm October 30th to submit your design. Your design can be drawn traditionally, digitally, or you can build a 3-D model. Oatmeal deserves something magnificent! Designs will be voted on by users until 11:59pm on November 15th!

The top 5 designs will receive a special item and 500 CSC. Everyone that enters will receive a thank you note from Oatmeal. Everyone that votes will get a lovely Oatmeal in A Raincoat Plushie! We will have more information about voting once we get to that stage on the 15th of November.

The prizes will all be put in the Millionaire Center after the contest is over, for those of you that would like extras. They will cost quite a bit of sP, however!

Finished and entered. I had fun creating my design. My dog had fun photobombing it and I was afraid she was going to either step on and break it or take off with it to try and eat it.

No, this needs to be done by you! You either have to draw (on paper or in like photoshop or something) a cute lil home for Oatmeal or build one irl (we don’t even care if it’s like popsicle sticks or something).

I could not find a forum in the boards to post this question. Can we make a photomanipulation piece of art/home for Oatmeal as long as the stock images we use are free for use?

Also, we need more oatmeal items - Oatmeal is so cute!! ((just my opinion.)) ❤️

How about another user event after this? Fund raising for the design? Maybe people can donate money for certain designs or something. not sure. But could be a great sP sink.

I'll be doing a traditional colored pencil entry, it will be my very first Subeta art entry! I hope I finish coloring it in time, so far it's been a lot of fun drawing Oatmeal!

I didn't have a chance to make anything for the camp one so this'll be fun! :D Are we allowed to include labels in our image (like a diagram) or do we need to put all that stuff in the description?

I'm not sure there really is a way (other than perhaps more morostide 'this one vs this one' type voting) but I hope that voting for -design- skills vs -drawing- skills can be maximized.

As someone who does graphics at school, i feel worried going into this without a desgin brief of some sort. Is there something special oatmeal loves, is there things that they hate? I want to make sure my desgin gets 100% oatmeal certified, even if it doesn't win

Would building a structure for Oatmeal in Minecraft be applicable? I'd like to think it would count as a 3D model, and I feel like it would take a healthy time and effort like a drawing or other 3D model...

You can enter something and get the prizes for entering/voting even if you're not a good artist. 😊

Only 5 people will get the special prize for winning, but I guess it'll end up being in the MC for everyone else.

I think that Gunter takes care of Oatmeal, but as you can see in the pic on site, he's just put in a penned in field. He needs a shelter =D

It also states you can do 3D modeling- from what I can gather, taht can include whateve ryou can build out of stuff in your house and take a pic (or several). Maybe use Mindcraft? lol!

I bet it can be either/or or both. xD

Sounds fun. Too bad I suck at drawing buildings. lol!
