I remember seeing the book "In A Dark, Dark, Room" when I was about 11 or so, opening it up, and going "Holy cow, Mom told us all these stories years ago, who stole them?!" lol ;)

ah man, jenny and the green ribbon, that was a classic when i was a kid. my sister used to be so scared of it, especially because my parents would loudly slam the book shut at the moment jenny's head hit the floor!

I remember that story, but her ribbon was green... & why did the husband never did just take it off? & it never got caught on something or loosened? Not even when she was sleeping? Was it always the same ribbon? Was the ribbon loose enough to enable her head to turn (and outdo an owl) or did she have to pivot her body? Was she a Dullahan in denial? etc...
