EPICon in the Antique Shop

Who needs vaporized water when you've got retro EPICon items to get? We're going to move all of the EPICon Prize Shops to the <A href=https://subeta.net/ss.php/antiques>Antique Shop! Make sure you use up any remaining points you have from either event (2010 or 2013) by July 24th. We will then debut the newly converted shop where you can buy any remaining items you need with sP.

Note: The Vintage EPICon Point Cards will be rendered useless after this change. Make sure to redeem these before the conversion, or you'll be left with a mere stub to remember the con by.

If you don't have the points (and the vintage cards won't help), you can just wait until they're in the Antique shop so you can buy them for sP. ;)

If you don't use your points by the date in the news post, then they'll disappear. We're clearing them off accounts once we move the items over to the Antique Shop.

Oh I totally misunderstood that I hope so too. The prices for the Reading Drive are way outta my league for now so I better start saving to get myself a RotL and the Soma Tablets :l

I saw that, what I meant was the shop prices. Like how the Islander/Pirate items cost 75k sp for each point the items used to cost, and Reading Drive is 275k I think. I'm just hoping the 2010 and 2013 shop prices are on different scales, because otherwise the 2013 ones will be way too cheap or the 2010 ones way out of my price range. :P Thank you, though.

Looks like I'm stuck with a stub of 3 points because there's nothing to spend those on Lol. But maybe now I can finally get all the beanbags, plushies and that bag of burgers. So in other words, bring on the Antique shop and I can build the small fortune I'll need to get them all :)

Will the points-to-sp rate be the same for both years? The 2013 ones cost way fewer points than the 2010 ones, so I'd hope they're scaled differently, price wise.

Today has been filled with nothing but terrible news, so the fact the EPICon stuff is coming to the Antique Shop is really the only bright spot in my day; I wasn't a member of Subeta when EPICon happened, and I really want the but it sells for way outta my reach prices currently. So this is just fantastic.

I wasn't active when the reading drive prizes were moved to the antique shop. Which sucks cause I def had a nice amount of points left, I just wasn't sure what items I wanted to use them on.

Just went and bought a bunch of plushies with my EPICon points. Wasn't much there I wanted besides the heart piece, but I wasn't about to lose out on points again.

We only did it for the first conversion and it was not the greatest decision. Here's the news post from the second batch, the Reading Drive.

You're in the same situation now you were when the points came out, which is where a lot of us end up. They've been sitting around for years able to be spent. I have something like 1000 points I don't particularly need but I'll need to figure out what to use them on. I really like the point shops for prizes because it lets you pick exactly what you need instead of getting a dump of random items that may not interest you or be hard to sell (especially if everyone happens to feel that way about them). If you end up with extra points at least you have the choice of what to spend them on.

That seems rather unfair - unless I want 4 of the same single 1 point item, I get no recompense? People with points leftover from the other event shops that moved to the Antique Shop were able to get sP conversion even with plenty of notice, why can't we?

Spiffy - one 5 point item and 4 of the Ruined First Edition because that's literally the only thing I can buy with the other 4 points.

At least the 5 I have for the 2010 shop have more than 1 option to do with them.

Thanks I will be glad to get some items with sp's as I didnt have enough points on the others. Just hope the prices wont be as high as the rest of the antique shop. Man some are just outlandishly high but maybe they can be lowered some time

I thought the idea behind the antique shop wasn't to set price ceilings but rather just to make sure certain items were available. There has always been points for sale if not the items themselves, I feel like this was done very prematurely. This sets a bad precedent of staff artificially capping prices for no good reason, compared to reading drive and even more so pirate v islander shops which both had many unavailable items and more need to be put in the antique shop...
