Millionaire Center: Baking Starter Kit

You can now purchase the baking starter kit from the Millionaire Center! When you open this kit, you receive the ingredients for the Maple Leaf Cookies as well as a few other helpful baking ingredients! Remember a lot of these ingredients also restock in the Food Market too.

In case you missed the memo, you will now earn a few points towards your next level when you burn items at Fantine’s Bakery.

There will be more recipes in the future to bake because this is a permanent feature, not a mini-event. :) Enjoy baking!

OK I think I officially give up on this "game". Tired of having to spend 1 million to keep buying the kits because the items I need are not in the DC. After 3 days of refreshing I haven't seen a single salt, baking powder or vanilla extract. (And why anyone would pay over a million for the extract (current selling price) when they can buy the whole kit which includes it for 1 million I don't understand.) Anyway, maybe I'll try again in a couple months. Looking forward to masquerade. :)

Argh, finally got past level 1 after spending several million for cookies worth 400SPs and guess what the next recipes take the same ingredients that never show up in the DC. Think I'll just wait on this project for a couple weeks maybe. Nice idea but it would be more fun if it didn't cost millions.

I never knew you could bake on Subeta D: Does that mean there's a place to build computers from all the techy stuff like 2gb ram cards?

OK really they need to start putting some of the harder to get items in the DC. In 2 days of refreshing I don't think I've even seen a single item that I need and paying 1 million to make cookies that are selling for 400 SPs is kind of ridiculous. Just still trying to get past level 1 so not sure I want to even think about the higher levels for a while.

Well, I'm tapped out. I've been buying the kits at the MC since vanilla alone is still so expensive, and every recipe calls for it. I literally have 1 mil left in my bank account, which I will not spend. I made it up to level 3, at least, before I bottomed out. Level 3 is a slog -- each level 3 item (unburnt) only gives you 10% progress, so it's really expensive and slow going. I was hoping to make it to level 4 since one of those recipes shouldn't require vanilla, but I'm going to have to stop until I can make some sP. I put a bunch of stuff in my shop and hope it sells! I also unpacked my last baking kit and am selling the items individually -- the money from that will buy another kit! Heh.

I did appreciate the MB yesterday. I got 4 vanillas that way! Also spent a bunch of sP, lol, but that helped at least! Hopefully once people make it to the non-vanilla recipes, the price will fall considerably.

Well this is getting expensive. I have to keep buying kits in the millionaire center because the items I need never show up in the DC. Seriously, out of over 30K items there's not a single stick of butter, vanilla extract or baking powder? I'm just trying to get past level one before I give up for a while and maybe try again in a couple weeks when the prices get reasonable. But costing a fortune just to get past the 1st level.

I've been noticing there's some consistent stuff (like ) that comes out of the basket, then some sorta random stuff that comes out of it. However, between tagging a basket and stalking the donation centre per each time on the recipe, I've been able to avoid purchasing stuff for the astronomical prices. I still do check the shops to see if I can catch a restock, but largely between the basket and the donation centre being punched up by Liz, I'm getting to do a recipe every time I go for it. The presented solutions by appears to be working, even if you do have to work a little for it.

And , yay for another guide. Awesome that you're already on it.

Thank you. I refused to pay the ridiculous prices that people were charging for each item. I'd go broke trying to make cookies! LOL!

I'm guessing if the cookies were started and burned last night, even if we didn't check them, we don't get any points for them? I just checked mine that I started last night and they burned, but I'm still at 0% :(

The timing has nothing to do with burning, its about skill level. Its likely you will burn your first few before one is successful,

It's only recently changed rarity so you'll have to wait a bit for it to really start restocking :) You can always try your hand at vending it! Or buy the baking kit and open it to get an extract. We won't be doing a specific vanilla extract.

Can we get a Vanilla Extract only basket in the Millionaire shop too? This seems to be the hardest to find ingredient as far as restock/donation center and every recipe (or at least the first 3) need this.

As always, the comes up with a solution to problems. <3

Thanks guys, this'll help get cooking started while people work on restocking, and keep us from all having to "wait for the rush to die down", etc. I'm sure they're not gonna leave it on the MC forever, so it'll eventually have the value people hoped it would, but there had to be something done to kickstart cooking and level the playing field.

The cooking isn’t based on time! It’s more of a skill set, for example if you were level 5 baking a level 1 treat, you’d have a much lower chance of burning the treat rather than if you were level 1 trying to cook a level 1 thing! :)
