Congrats! Awww I have had many dogs and cats that shared my life that are gone now. Several were very special to me and are missed daily. Your tribute to your beloved dogs was wonderful to read.

Aw that made me fill up, my family have 3 rescue dogs between us, our Jake sounds like your lovely Topper, he runs at the tv, barking like mad whilst the others look at him as if he's daft! Toppers artwork is wonderful. Congratulations Loftyballoon.

congratulations winning pet spotlight with such a nice tribute to your sweet dog Topper. I'm sorry he's no longer with you. I have a dog that will be turning eight soon and she's starting to get old and possibly a little senile. I worry about her every single day because she is a huge part of my life. It's funny how those furry little animals that live in our house can be part of our family, just like those humans that we share blood with.

Such a sweet pet and story - I understand your love for your pet. I learned from someone that we all have a "heart dog" in our lives. Topper sounds like that for you :) And I love that you say he is a tribute to shelter animals. I support and promote shelter animals as much as possible. As a volunteer photographer for many local rescues/shelters, I've learned that people have so many misconceptions about shelter animals (that they won't make good pets, won't make good sporting animals, aren't intelligent, have something wrong with them, etc.) that simply are not true. Topper is another perfect example. Thank you for sharing his story.
