I wasn't directing my comment at any single person, just a general blanket comment on why I don't see why it should be changed. If it were moved forward we'd have the problem of it still not sitting right when the HA is there (still being on the HA's feet), and being too close to the HA when put behind (unless you wear platform shoes; and possibly not even laying right as it might be too forward). Similar to the Oni decal you posted. Similarly, if it were moved back it would make it so no one can really wear it with an HA. Right now it does look like it's standing on your feet in a playful way, while still being intended behind the HA.

Yeah , I think some people really misunderstood the comment (well I can only speak for mine anyways) because obviously, we don't need cutouts anymore because V3 resolves the issue, since we can layer the base and all items in any order we see fit!! That's the reason I never mentionned it would be better for it to be cut. On my end, I was suggesting having its height approx. the same as the HA's feet would make it more usable, since this way both "clans" (lol) would be happy and would be able to wear it either in the front, or in the back. It remembers me of which for this one, issue is the opposite. I'd enjoy wearing it behind the HA, but because it's way low, I can't! All and all (again, can't speak for others) we all love the item and art is fabulous, it isn't "complaining" per say, we're just here to add a grain of salt and opinion and wished it was not percieved in such a negative way!! :O It's always fun to discuss ideas on my end, and it surprises me and makes me uncomfortable and sad when it's frowned upon in this community.

If the pup should be changed to have the HA cut out, or altered in another way, because some people are unable to understand it's meant to be layered either by itself/with like items or behind the HA... Then does that mean we should revert back to backgrounds with the HA cutout and be unable to move our HA's in the wardrobe once more ? Because there's a board being made about once a week asking for help because, once again, some people are unable to understand it's meant to be layered either by itself/with like items or behind the HA. Sorry, but no thank you.

Yeahhh, now you're putting words into my mouth, which I don't like, because I never said you said those things. SO please don't put word s into My mouth. I said I was tired of people saying that, commenting on the comment and type of comment that I originally replied to. The only reason I addressed you is because you referenced my comment shortly after I made it and appeared to misunderstand what the point of my comment was. You didn't ping me, but I noticed that you referenced something I mentioned. Tbh, I expected an agree to disagree type of response, not an accusation of personal attack, but maybe I'm communicating poorly. Point 1. Was that elka's comment and others like it aren't silly just because they disagree. Point 2. Was an attempt to clarify why those users might feel how they felt. Not an attack on those that do like the item, liking things is 100% A.OK. Esp, if you explain why. Just like not liking things.

Like I said: I don't like this sort of item, for multiple reasons. But I recognize that its just not for me on any level. Nice item, not my thing.

- I never said your opinions didn't have purpose? Nor did I call anyone dumb or stupid, so I would appreciate if words weren't put in my mouth, because I never say that about people. I was just giving my opinion that I wouldn't like it changed, no different than you saying why you'd like it to be changed :) I'd be a bit disappointed if it were to be changed, so I was just doing as you are - saying what I like about it/why I think it should remain as is. Since I have SO many animals that cannot be layered behind, I love that this one is meant to be. Allows me more options for having many animals in the scene.

Perhaps (I wasn't saying this should be a cut out, just that that would be clearer), but I think its still important for people to say what they don't like about the item too. Otherwise how would staff ever know? If the comment section is only for praise, do away with it and just have a like button, it be just as useful. It might just be my pet peeve, but I'm well tired of every time someone doesn't like the way an item is designed or a revamp is done at least ten people show up to tell that person why they shouldn't say what they don't like about it, or to call them "silly" or "dumb" or whatever the word of the week is. You like it, we get that, say that and be done with it, because your approval does not invalidate MY opinion. Plenty of people aren't going to be able/want to buy this item just because its in the forum shop, so voting with your wallet is even less likely to express an opinion than usual.

I don't like any of the 'floating' items, because they only look right to me with particular backgrounds where the item looks well behind the HA. I don't buy them and I don't usually comment on them, but I will fight to the death for the people who want to say why they don't like them. Elsewise how would Staff know?

I'd say no design flaw... it is meant to be layered behind OR if you want it to be on its own, it can be an item on its own with the HA covered by a BG :) This is why cutting it out would be bad for those who enjoy having animals solo on their HA image. I think it would look best layered behind due to the way it is looking at where the human should be standing. I think it's a lovely item. If you don't like the concept then don't buy it I suppose.

I'm torn on these items. I love the wolf part but not the Telenine part :/ I'm also echoing the others by saying that the forum point availability is super low. I've been saving for ages to have what I do and that's not many to begin with :/

I agree with others who have pointed out that pretty much the only way to get these items is to shell out the cash and buy forum tickets. The drop rate is super low, and for people who barely even post on the forums it'll take years to obtain everything.

Realistically I don't particularly care what it looks like because I don't use this sort of item, but i'd argue that if a staff member had to explain to people how the item was meant to be used then there is a design flaw. There are plenty of items that are supposed to give the effect they say the item is for and they just cut around the player avatar which makes their perspective clear from first glance. With this sort of item that players are honestly going to have to save up for months to get (if they get it from the forum shop) its kinda important that its obvious whats going on from the get go. Thats why I'd agree that this item has a design flaw.

By drawing the whole wolfthing, the artist made it appear a way that people are gonna wish/think they could/should wear it in front. If you're one of those people its actually worse to almost be able to use an item the way you want than it is to not be able to wear it that way at all. Especially if its hard to understand why the dogthing has to hover to be behind the player anyway. When my dog stands behind me, he doesn't look like he's hovering unless we're on an incline and the person looking at us has no depth perception. How far behind the player is this animal?

But, like I said I'm not the person this type of item is made for.

I wasn't targeting you specifically though I can see why it seems that way because I used your words but you haven't been the only person saying there's something wrong with the item because its intended purpose isn't the one you want it to be. I wasn't offended, lol, I just think it's silly to say it's a design flaw to have a specific purpose in mind when making an item.

I can't count on finding tickets though, so instead I'll try hard earn sp to buy tickets from shops instead. It's less efficient but I suppose it gets the job done.

You can always buy forum tickets from people, they're expensive in shops rn but I know people who sell them pretty often :) You could try to make a thread and see if people will sell them to you at average price.

It isn't like these items are unobtainable like Referral items, they're just pricey if you want them right this very second and don't have the tickets on hand.

I still agree with others, that the pup would look better standing on the ground instead of floating in the air. Wearing it now and it looks weird, but I don't want to hide the whole body behind the HA since it's so cute.

I am sorry my choice of words offended you. I am sorry to seem selfish to want to use all the items on this site the way I want to. All I meant to imply is that if the item was lower, it could be worn both ways, either in the front or behind, making everyone happy instead. IMO the more options the better when designing items for human avatars, so that is my opinion, simply. The art is amazing and I adore it, I will be purchasing one anyways. Hope you'll get to enjoy wearing yours as much as I will! Happy Lumiiiii :)

i don't get people who are upset about forum points being a rare drop. it makes sense to make some things harder to get then the others to keep the site interesting and give people some challenge / long term goals. not to mention that you can actually buy raffle tickets, unlike crypts and referral shop points for example which are both much harder to earn. also, the fact that posting on forums is rather hard rn due to the lack of activity in there..... might just be the reason why we're being encouraged to be more social. duh.

lol I don't want to be spoonfed subeta's items. I'd just like them to be feasible to get over a period of time. 400 posts for one item out of 72 is p ridiculous. I'd have to post over 10,000 times if I wanted all the items from the forum shop. The average active subeta user has 3k total posts in the forums if they frequent them.

I understand encouraging to be social. It's a nice community, why not. I understand forum shop items are a long time goal, fine with that too. But, with the current drop rate/time I can spend posting, or rather spamming (cause a post "me too", "thanks for the ping" is actual spamming and would be a reason to be banned on just any other forum) I'll get the items I currently want in over 2 years. Really, long time goal :/ Good to see I'm not the only one with that problem.
