Late to the party here, I guess, but aside from being the first pet story I've actually read through in ages...that overlay is freaking INCREDIBLE. Story was absolutely beautifully written too. <3

10/10, wouldn't mind this lovely spirit gracing the spotlight again if it were possible. n_n

If that rule applied to this, her overlay would have never been accepted in the first place. I didn't edit the coding or make a minor edit to an Angelic Legeica and attempt to use that as her design when she's a less expensive color. It is a CUSTOM overlay, thus it's not misrepresentation, it's interpretive. If this were a Reborn Kumos with wings, no one would be saying it should be a Montre even though we have a species that more closely resembles a canine with wings. I chose a Glade Legeica as her base species over any other ungulate we have on site because I felt the personality matched her the closest and, as I said before, I liked the difference because it was representative of her character ability.

In the end, I don't really care what species anyone else thinks she should be since it's my custom and it's within the rules. Sorry. u_u

The face looks Legeica-esque to me, as does the body as a whole under all the hair. Really, the overlay is quite lovely!

Lol welcome to subeta! Where a pet has a lovely (CUSTOM) overlay, a nice profile, an actual character design, and a TC.... And the only thing people care about is that it shouldn't have been accepted because the CUSTOM overlay looks like something they perceive the legeica not to be.

She's a spirit with a lot of different avatars, the different appearance was intentional. n__n There wasn't a way to fit it into her story, but there are minions in her TC to represent it.

I LOVE THIS PET, THIS STORY, THIS OVERLAY! congrats kestral aaaa <3 i rly dig the way story text has a gradient to it, that's a brilliant touch.

and im gonna be a small butthole and just add: in a world where we have anthro overlays of animals barely representing the dog they are, wearing clothes, being a fan pet, etc, "but devonti" is a real thing we're talking about and i want u all to think about that for a hot sec tho

Actually the first impression I got it was of a legeica, the mane looks like the legeica leg-warmers. Either way, 👍 congratz, awesome pet, great grafix, super story, well done! ❤
