Im super loving this, non cw muscles ftw. I dont see how people think this wouldnt work for female avas...females can be just as toned. This is body builder ish level muscles. If they were doing more subtle sure there could be more feminine.

Also Im totally going to second that need for cheek bones/face definition items. I would die.

I actually am finding the neck really fun to use just for shading/necklace layering so far. These will be really fun to play around with.

I mean, there's other non-cw things that look kinda muscle like...like the Essence of Manliness...but these allow more versatility body hair wise. UwU

I agree variations in tone would be pretty nice instead of just one tonic that's...full-on bodybuilder.

It's just, the misconception that muscles are inherently manly is just really common and annoying. Like, Serena Williams has been getting a lot of flak from the media lately for having "manly" or "gorilla" arms, as they so elegantly put it. It's a thing.

And honestly, most women don't look this built, even the fit ones and ones that strength train. So variations in amount of muscle would be nice.

Since users LOVE to nitpick, let me clarify. I meant women's musculature is usually a bit more flowy and rounded when drawn whereas male musculature is drawn with more sharp and rigid linework.

Like yes, biologically it's harder for women to get HELLA RIPPED than men but there's nothing more feminine or masculine about having lesser or greater muscle tone.

As a female weightlifter some of these comments are making me wanna tear my hair out.

yeah i can see with the weirder base colours that'd be necessary, but i guess i'm just left wondering why they didn't take a page outta the CW book and go for a dark, nude brown that'd mesh well with the natural bases. it IS a great alternative for the unnatural bases, though!

i guess i'm in the minority but the shading is hella grey? maybe it's just my HA's skintone but it clashes really badly with the shading on the base. :c i was so excited to see this news post, too, but idk if i'll get a lot of use out of these unfortunately.

I agree that the definition lines look a little weird for the arms and legs, I figure that's the difficulty of drawing muscles that look okay on all skin tones when muscle definition relies on shading. Nice items, very neat

i don't know if it's because of my ha's skin tone, but i'm having trouble picturing some of these as muscles and not just weird dark stains XD nice addition, though!
