Scale of Red Rreign Changes!

Please use your Scale of Red Rreign before 11:59PM on Saturday the 11th! After that time, we will be implementing a change to the scale. This change will allow it to be put back in the Millionaire Center so you can buy them up to use for those cool Genetech combos!

There will be a new replacement scale that will drop from the effigies that will have a similar boosting effect of the old scale loot.

Yes that is right. They will always retain their use in the combos, but just limited time left as stat boosters.

So if I don't use them by midnight on Saturday I can still use them for the combos just not as a stat booster?

You can either use them to make gentech combos (check Subetalodge to see which) or you can use them on your pet if you're a battler. They are a stat booster.. well for now. Once midnight comes they won't be.

Staff's logic is the following : there are too many scales in the system for what they'd like to have, so they're more at ease with nerfing the existing scale and keeping it as a genetech item, rather than removing the Genetech part from the current, existing scale.

People didn't mass hoard scales for Genetech combos.

Why would you change one item's characteristics only to recreate the old item, rather than just creating the the new item altogether and leaving the previous one alone? I don't understand.

Ok just to completely clarify - will the changed scale, the one that is going back into the MC, have any boosting effect at all? Or will it only be for the Genetech combos and TCs and stuff?

Because I could have sworn when this idea was first talked about, it was said that their power would be reduced, not that they would be completed killed as a booster :|

Oooh, so the changes are going to be separating the genetech combos from the battle stats, and you're the replacing the battle stats with the new scale? That's what I got from the other comments; yeah, I read the announcement several times over and all I got was"......o_O."

Everyone has zero wins on the effigy unless they battled him following the reset. But yes, it'd make a little more sense to keep this scale a stat booster and release a different scale for the Genetech combos. Though that'd require more coding, I suppose, so maybe it is more sensible this way. Either way, I have TWO sets of dragony scales to hoard! I'm a happy camper!

Why not just release a new underpowered scale in the MC that can be used for the genetech combos? Isn't that way more straightforward?

Nerfing this scale and releasing a new buffed scale only punishes anyone who misses this announcement. If there's someone who's taking a month off from Subeta, they're going to come back to a pile of useless scales.

This whole plan is way more convoluted than it needs to be. If you have to explain it in such detail and answer so many questions, then you need to reevaluate what you're doing. :/

I never unlocked the Effigy as a challenger because I was far from the stats I needed to beat it.

It wasn't said that they won't be boosters anymore. The nerf still is surprising though, the scales used to give 9 stats for 3 million, which, by current rates, is a very bad deal. Tomes will give you ten stats (including the very expensive intel) for only 2.2-2.4 million

okay, wait - so if i understand it right - we must use the old scales,(cost 3 million at MC) because they will loose theire stats, and become just a scale to make the red rreign genetech combos ( also sold at the MC ???

and a "new" "other" scale will be released,as loot, but only obtainable from fighting the effigies, but they wont get reset ???? so how will we be able to get them then ?? only when its the fireside event i suppose ??? just as theire "random" scrolls drops ??? right ????

Can't say I'm a fan of the change in terms of the big picture though - we're going from boosters you can occasionally buy in the MC to boosters you can occasionally buy in the cash shop. The news post clearly states that after saturday, the genetech combo is the main reason you're going to be buying scales for.

- Not really, the scales were a random drop, not even guaranteed to get one in 10 wins, and they are replacing it with another item that, my guess is, will boost exactly the same thing, or LESS stats. Effigies special loot won't be affected by this change at all, so you aren't really missing out on anything by not having it reset.

You know the Scale has been in the MC many times over the years, right? There wasn't any reason you couldn't get it before... this news post doesn't say it's going to be cheaper :P
