My pet is T12 & even tho she's not capped yet I still hoard the EXP. So now I'm forced to use them up before the end of the month. Blah. I dont care for that.
i just capped my first pet a week ago and now we get a cap raise this is fricken awesome I wonder if there are going to be some new higher tiers coming out to and maybe some new higher tiered weapons to go along with it
well shame we cannot use the last bit of points on a diff pet.. as i have 64k now going to lose :(
I guess we now are obliged to feel thankful that we are not completely losing all of our XP.

I'd have 45k left (thankfully haven't capped my 2nd, so can use her spare points on level at least, so I don't have to pay for that later on if nothing else...), but I guess there's people if even more up to 99k. Or pass that rest on to other pets or whatever. We fight (in the pure sense of the word) and pay fortunes for every point and therefore don't want to blow a single one. We're f...ed enough with this new mindset of yours.
Also an option to batch-spend our XP for those 2 weeks would be helpful.

Good to know! I wasn't aware that one was planned, since I don't always have a lot of time when I'm online and don't check the BC threads as often as I should.
It's a matter of time before the cap raise and challenger reset happens after T12 exp clearing. The challengers will give increasing exp instead of decreasing per win. It makes more sense. They never said this was the one and only cap raise ;)
There is a challenger reset planned because there's supposed to be an EXP change when it comes to battling.

Hopefully, there will also be a challenger reset as well! That would be a dream! So the EXP reset is only for Tier 12 pets & won't affect lower tier pets. Apheros is my only T12 pet and I was planning on using my EXP anyway, as he isn't quite near the cap yet!

I don't think they're going to do anything that fancy this time around. I think the cap raise and resetting the challengers is going to keep us busy, and they figure that'll keep people quiet for awhile ;)

I figured that's what he meant, but I just wanted to be sure. It almost sounded like there would be some new form of exp/currency/whatever after the raise. Like tier 13 pets would only be able to progress through boosters or battle tokens or something.

After the cap raise, they won't be capped though? So they can earn and use EXP. They just can't use the EXP they have saved now because it's going to be cleared. And Keith says in that quote, 'once you reach the cap you can no longer use EXP' which is the way it is now. Hence the issue of spending it on intel or clearing it, etc.
Pro-tip: If you aren't tier 12 yet, save your exp points until the cap is raised. :P It would suck to bump your pet up to tier 12 early and then lose all exp beyond that.

Forgot to add, buying intel "For this two-week period only" So they will probably remove the option to buy after that.
The current cap before any raise is 22000 stats. HP, Strength, Defense, and Speed count toward the cap. Level and Intel doesn't. Having level over 5000 or being capped prevents you from training at Jim or spending your exp on stats (except for intel).
If your pet is not Tier 12, or Tier 12 and capped, this doesn't really affect you in any major way. If your pet is Tier 12 and not capped, you need to spend your exp before the end of April and you can spend it on any of the available stats, now including intel (for this period only, and for 100k per intel point). If your pet is capped, it's a Tier 12, and you know it's capped, so you know what this news post means. Not saying it doesn't need to be explained more, or maybe throw in a link to the tier guide or something, but you'll know if it applies to you :P 'Capped' just means that your pet has the current highest amount of stats allowed for a pet to have. At that time, any experience they gain or whatever, just piles up. So now they're raising the cap. If your pet is capped, it's a Tier 12.
If your pet is under Tier 12 and you have more than 100k EXP points on a lower tier pet than that and you just feel like using for intel? Which seems kind of a waste to me. I would use it on other stats personally, on a lower tier pet. BUT they are only clearing the EXP on Tier 12 pets, so again, that is moot for lower-tier pets.
Hope that helps anyone who is confused!
By "capped" I assume you mean pets with the highest stat levels, such as level 5000. I've had my pets in constant training for years and none of them are even close to that (my highest level pet is only 1200, tier 11), so guess I won't have to worry about this for a couple of decades. Nice for those who need to know to get a warning.

A capped pet is a Tier 12 pet that has reached the max amount of stat points. :D Intel (and Level iirc?) don't count toward the cap.

I am not clear on the EXP points being deleted. If we DO NOT have a tier 12 pet, and have accumulated EXP points, are we ALL going to lose our points, or only the people with tier 12 pets??? I do have quite a few points hoarded, but I was saving them for when I could no longer use the gym.
So, I am wondering if I should just go ahead and use my EXP, or am I safe from losing my points?
They're gonna clear all Tier 12 pets, no matter how much experience is on them. If you're not capped, you can spend that exp on any stat. If you're capped, then you can only spend it on intel. If you're capped and have less than 100k exp, then you're stuck, and it'll get cleared.
This isn't going to have any effect at all on 95% of pets. If you're not Tier 12, absolutely nothing will change for you.

I'm glad this is finally being dealt with. It doesn't affect me (yet), but I know a lot of battlers have been frustrated with this for a long time. Are you going to reveal what the new cap will be, or is it a surprise?
Meh, I neither have a capped pet, nor 100k exp to spend on a single intel point.
Oh my battler is only tier 8. It will take me forever though because the highest pet I can beat is only the 20th opponent. I mean it will take me forever to save that many exp.s. :/
then capped pets can just use a stat reducer to -1 stat to be an un-capped pet. that would kind of defeat the purpose then I think?
What about people who have under 100k accumulated points?
Not sure I understand the neccesiy of clearing the XP for ALL tier 12 pets, since there are a lot of t12 pets that are not capped. Obviously, I understand why it would be neccesary to clear the XP of capped pets, but why clear non-capped t12 pets?
I have 47k exp :s I feel left out.

Oh Poo I thought you meant 100,000 sPs. It will take forever to earn that many exp.s I spend mine everyday raising HRH Seymour Patches' stats. :(
What about a capped t12 pet that... doesn't have a bunch of exp banked? I don't even have enough to buy one intel point but I thin it is kinda BS I will lose exp THAT I EARNED. Regardless of the amount.
