I'm so absolutely in love with the Mellow Raspberry Fondue. I'm so glad they won! Thank you to the CW makers that put the effort into making these. It's really wonderful to have a way to get some custom items for a smaller pricetag!

None of the items I voted for won. :x The winning items are all very nicely done though, just not the kind of things I think I would use. I wish some of the makeup had gotten through.

Looking forward to many more competitions like this in the future; it's really nice to be able to buy CWs without the hefty price tag. ^-^

Let me add myself to those that are disappointed that there weren't more winners. If we voted for ten it was natural to expect 10 winners. It's awesome that a lot of those that didn't win are making their items CW's but.... no csc means no cw's for a lot of people. I can no longer afford to buy csc for anything other than a weekly gold medal and a rare CW occasionally. I know that there are many more people here on Subeta that it is virtually impossible for them to get CSC. End rant Having said all that I wanted to say Congratulations to the winners. Very nice work there. Several I voted for. I was disappointed that the wig that GreenRowan submitted and the shark that Debbilee submitted where not chosen. Both are being submitted as Cw's and yet two more items that will only be a pipe dream for me. It no longer amazes me what talented artists we have here on Subeta!

Only two of the ones I voted for won. :( Was disappointed, like many others, to see that only six winners were chosen when we voted for ten. Since there were so many entries, ten winners would have made more sense.

Congrats to all the winners. The only thing I wanted badly was the Fragments BG. I'm also glad the perfume bottle made it. I don't think I voted for any of the other winners, but my memory is shot, so I'm not sure.

I agree that it would be nice if the 6 items had been evenly divided between L'Amour's and the Zombie Den. I'm actually shocked that even 2 of what I voted for won since what I like isn't usually the most popular.

I will say (as many did) that I was hoping for 10 winners. I guess I'm like a "kid in a candy store" and naively didn't realize that fewer than 10 would win. It makes sense (sort of) that to chose 6 winners the voting has to be set up this way, so in the future I'd like to have the voting be "choose 15 and 10 will win."

One last thing: why was this called a CW contest? I'm glad these were NOT released as CW's since I don't spend money on them very often, but since these items are available for sP and candy hearts why was the contest named as such?

I can only imagine that it's because all of the same rules for design applied? I know NOTHING about designing a CW, since I don't know how to do art on a computer. It's sad, since I'm a decent artist, but I'm a baby boomer so the technology is "lost" on me. I'm glad it's here, however. :)

What was the point of only releasing 6 when you wanted us to vote for 10? If you're gonna make us vote for a certain amount of item then you better give us the item amount we were to vote for! I'm glad at least 3 of the ones I voted for won. It's kind of nice to see the makers of the items that didn't make it get released as CW's for future plans. Congrats to the winners though.

For anyone still looking at this, I've created a thread to see if anyone will consider making the "non winning" items available in a CW shop as long as their is enough interest... I also need the "proper" names for a lot of them and I am missing some too.

Congrats to the winners! Sadly only 3 of my top 10 made it, but the others look good too. :)

Also a good idea to put the participation prizes in the cash shop. This way, you make some extra cash, and it gives everyone the opportunity to get otherwise very limited items!

OMG, I'm so happy the mirror shard won, that was my fav item!! Actually I voted for 4 of these so I won't complain, but I'm really sad about that creepy smile (I can't remember the name, sovvy!!) cause it can't be submitted as CW,sigh sob. I am not disappointed any of the eyes/lips didn't make it, cause they were cute but not very dissimilar to those we already have onsite. But then again I use pretty much always the same eyes/lips so maybe I'm biased xD I wanted that rose pauldron thingy thou,UGH, and the red dress /cries

If someone could shoot me a message I would greatly like to know who did the vicious bunny eyes. Loved the little blinking and attacking bunny... Hopefully either they allow you to release your item or it appears in the cash shop cause it was one of my favourites.

The shark, I'm wondering who made this as well. If you release it please let me know... Need all shark things in my life lol.

( any way to have a list of who entered what for the contest? Any luck of the facial features appearing somewhere? wink wink)

Seconding TaterSalad's comment. There are definitely those of us out there who very much want unisex and male avatar items, but male-HA-makers are vastly outnumbered by female-HA-makers and our voices are never going to be heard in any contest where the userbase votes like this. Please can't there be some way to get some of those items on site too? Again, these are all wonderful and deserving winners, it's just...i'd like to see more of them to allow for more variety, so we could have the wigs and the dresses that the majority clearly desires but there would also be room for some eyes and mouths and things that EVERYONE can use...

Except you didn't ask why any of the other items won, so when reading it, it comes off as rude, particularly because you say "why the hell".

Example:

The first one definitely comes off as rude and abrasive, whereas the second one doesn't.

And in answer to your question the bandage is in theme with the contest and the art is good quality so that's why lots of people voted on it and then it won. All the items that won were because of people's votes, clearly a lot of people really liked the bandage, so they voted for it.

In an answer to your question, or well at least trying to, I believe a lot more females play subeta than males, which is why a lot more female wearables exist on site in general. Supply and demand. This isn't to say that you're not right, there is a greater need for male items, but the items that will sell and make it on site are the ones with the most interest and that's why female wigs are so popular. I mean I myself am addicted to wigs and more just keep coming out so I keep getting addicted. But I just don't think they can put a cap on how many wigs of a certain gender are released on site, that would cause too much drama at least in terms of CWs, in terms of on-site released items I think they try to regulate when they release female items to also release some male items which is why the hair coupons tend to be like x amount of more feminine wigs and x amount of unisex/masculine wigs, etc..

Judging from the feedback, I think the obvious answer is to allow facial items to be submitted as CWs now, yes? :D (I'm not really sure why there's such a restriction in the first place, but then again we had a restriction on body modifications at one point and that has been lifted, so we can hope, right?

None of my votes one... guess that save me some sP. I am completely shocked that stained glass thing didn't go through.. it just seemed like a definite. Oh well, I was never a good judge of taste of others anyway. :P I'm not really surprised about the eyes though... to be honest they were all gorgeous but I worried they were all going to fall into the "recolor" category. Although they weren't recolors, there were kind of two similar themes going between all the eyes (i.e. probably a lot of split votes).

Ok I want to make another comment. First, congrats to the winners. Then, IMO, we have so many female wigs, so very many, I think there should be some kind of cap put on that. Why so many? And some so similar. We have so many female mouths, and so many very similar. And then the eyes, so many female eyes. These unique eyes submitted to this contest are some of the best I've ever seen on Subeta, and yet, not enough votes? Can't you make them anyway? And the male mouths, can't Subeta just make some then if they will never get enough votes? It's obvious people want them. rant over...maybe

Really disappointed that we have only 6 winners and no eyes at all. Dear staff, PLEASE, concider putting the contest eye items into the shops, since they are pretty good and we have no other way to obtain them (and they cannot be submitted as CWs). Or at least pick some of them with the most votes...
