Is there any way to extend it longer once the other glitch is fixed with people getting reinfected without their knowledge? Like mine for example is now in stage 4 of Angler and that leaves a few more days for that to even complete, so still hoping I can go for Blistered Hearts which is actually what I was waiting to go for. Just wondering..
thanks, this is good news. but at the same time kind of disappointing since I only just got infected again because I couldn't bite anyone; and pretty sure even with the extra day I probably will only just be far enough along in the infection to bite people without being able to go for the achievement. and even that's iffy since by that point most people will probably be infected already anyway

I think I'm missing something obvious. Yesterday, I could find a very occasional person to bite. (I've gotten less then 20 bites in since the event started.) Now that everything is "fixed" I can't find a single person that's bite-able. Frustrated. :(
Just in case anyone wants to try, myself and others have tried the curing potion when infected the second time and it doesn't actually work. It will look cured for when you go into the Wardrobe every now and then, but overall you're still infected and it still won't clear from your HA. So save your hearts! Unless you have extra Lol :)
Survival lasts until the start of March, which is in the Subetapedia article. :) We are giving it an extra day, so the event will likely end somewhere around March 2nd's evening.
As others have said, would love the issue of being infected when you didn't want it/getting infected with the same virus twice would be fixed. I would love to, you know, drop my sP into an sP sink by buying the virus I wanted! Though glad this was fixed! Just doesn't help me at the moment. :C

Oh, I am so happy! I paid 750,000 sP early today to the Infection Center for the Growth (Butterfly) Virus and posting to the Survival Board dedicated to getting that virus but no sign of me having it has shown up. Glad it has been extended to allow for the bites. Sure hope it works!

That's nice, but a bit confusing? Is this saying that the biting isn't lasting all throughout Survival, or is it saying that Survival will last a day longer than it originally was going to (even though we didn't know when that end date was either)?
Able to bite people again...after wasting 200 hearts on a cure for a disease I already got the skin for. A+ fix. [/sarcasm]

What exactly is this post supposed to mean? It's rather confusing to say that biting is extended for another day when Survival typically lasts til March. Not to mention that there's that insanely unfair achievement for biting 100 people (aka near impossible). People really should be able to bite through the end of Survival, as otherwise having the biting achievement would be completely unfair if no one could actually obtain it. Plus I'd still like to try to get at least one more strain. As is that achievement really should be tiered, simply because it's so difficult. But thanks for letting us know that the bug was fixed.
Well, thanks to a friend got a workaround but still annoying. Hope the cause gets fixed for everyone else.
What about people like me who were reinfected without paying or asking to be reifected? I've been given the lovebug again which I just finished and claimed this morning and I was automatically reinfected with it. No point in getting the same virus. I would like to try for another one!

how long do we have to bite ?
I'm not sure how many more people other users have to infect in order to get the achievement for Infection Expert but I still have 24 bites to go and I'm in the middle of watching my latest infection grow. I had no idea that I could reinfect myself simply by losing my Skin in wardrobe. Not a lot of people want Eyesore sadly enough. I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to get Infection Expert in time. Will you be bringing it back next year?
